    Pioneer PL-30-K Reviews

PL-30-K Stereo Turntable is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great value for the money The PL30K was very easy to set up and has great sound quality, no need in my opinion to upgrade the cartridge. The table comes with a thick rubber mat to increase sound quality. I also like the smoked plastic of the dust cover. The automatic function drops the needle on the first groove and the turntable is especially quiet. I previously purchased a Music Hall usb-1 from B&H but was not totally satisfied. For a few dollars more, the PL30K is well worth it. B&H were very easy to deal with and made the return process painless. For a lower end price point, I highly recommend the PL30K

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it a lot I had a pretty nice Garrard turntable that I bought in 1971 and played it for hundreds of hours. It would still play well but the automatic functions became sluggish. I put my records away for 17 years went to CD's and then I wanted to listen to my old favorites again. I began looking around for another turntable and reading zillions of reviews I settled on the Pioneer PL-30-k. I think this new turntable sounds better then my old Garrard because a favorite album that I played a lot back then began to sound a little 'poppy' on the Garrard, but to my very pleasant surprise, the first time I played it on this new Pioneer, it sounded great on the Pioneer. Also, the instructions say to set the tracking weight at 3.5 gms. but, I set it at 2.5 and it tracks perfectly and sounds just the same as it did at the heaver 3.5 weight. So, I couldn't be happier with this Pioneer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had a pioneer pl400 tt for 30 plus years! So i wanted to stay loyal to the brand, well built, give the stock cartridge a chance, its getting the job done and then some. Don't buy in, that you need to go out and buy a 300$ cartridge. Your speaker IS the heart of your system, so if your listing to your turntable though super high end speakers then by all means spend the cash, but if your not, don't bother. Don't be fooled

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Turntable I purchased the PL-30-K to replace a Garrard 3000 turntable that wasn't working. I wanted something to connect to my Fisher tuner/amplifier using RCA jacks. After reviewing a number of turntables this one seemed to fit the bill. I was a little bit hesitant to purchase a brand new product but decided to anyway based on Pioneers reputation. The turntable was very easy for a non-audiophile like me to assemble. The instructions provided were very easy to follow and assembly was completed within about 10 minutes and I had my first record playing a few minutes later. The quality of the unit is very good, but then I'm not an audiophile. It has all the features I wanted, auto start and stop, dust cover, a stylus that is easy to change, equalizer switch, and in my price range. I'm using the turntable to record my LP record collection to MP3, have recorded four records so far and haven't experienced any issue with it. The audio is very good but I may upgrade the stylus sometime in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good I do recommend this turntable. Easy to assemble, easy to play, high quality build, excellent sound, you can also easily replace the cartridge with a better one. It comes with a regular audiotechnica. The only cons in my opinion is the non-removable rca cable.
