The optical design includes one extra-low dispersion lens element to control chromatic aberration, contributing to sharp, color-accurate imaging, and each of its lens elements features Ultra Multi-Coating to improve light transmission and reduce ghosting and flare. An internal focus system prevents the front end from rotating which allows more effective use of variable filters.

A durable metal barrel with a wide focus ring and manual aperture control ring offer tactile control over focus and exposure. An included, removable lens hood deters stray light from entering the lens, while protecting it from accidental impact and precipitation.

question

Can I use this lens on a super 35mm digital camcorder like the Sony FS700?
Asked by: Landmark P.
As the Sony NEX-FS700R Super 35 Camcorder uses the Sony E-mount, not the Canon EF lens mount, the above lens would not work for your needs. Instead, you would need to purchase the Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC Lens for Sony E MountB&H # RO1352SE, for use on the Sony NEX-FS700R Super 35 Camcorder. Do note this is a fully manual lens, so you will need to set the focal length and aperture on the lens manually.

Why does this lens not come with an AE CHIP for Canon?? For traits I'd want the focus beep confirmation and the ability to shift aperture through the camera.

Rokinon offer both versions and different price points.

I just ordered this lens and considering it's weight, I wonder what a good tripod collar would be for this lens since I'm using it with a Canon 5DS on a camera stand?
Asked by: James
There isn't a specific collar for this lens, however you can get a universal collar made by Manfrotto; https://bhpho.to/2bwh1Ow

Hello there! Does anybody know what size tripod ...

Hello there! Does anybody know what size tripod mount ring I could use for this lens? It's very heavy, and though I can get OK shots when it's on my Canon EOS, the balance on the tripod would be MUCH better if we could use a tripod mount ring. Looks like there are no native rings for Samyang/Rokinon, and the couple of generic rings I've tried are the wrong size. Cheers, Mark.
Asked by: Mark
No tripod collar ring is specifically made for your 135mm Rokinon lens. I would suggest an adjustable collar ring that could work if you find a good place on the lens to mount it. https://bhpho.to/2E5r4IX

Is this lens compatible with the Nikon D3500?

Is this lens compatible with the Nikon D3500?
Asked by: Lynn
Yes, the Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 Lens for Nikon F Mount with AE Chip is compatible for use with the Nikon D3500 DSLR camera. Do note that this is a manual lens, so you will have to focus the lens manually. However, as the lens does have an AE chip, it will provide automatic exposure metering in Auto, Program, Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority, and Manual modes, and the LED in the camera's viewfinder will illuminate for focus confirmation when the camera detects you have focused on your subject. It will also provide EXIF metadata to the camera.

The Manfrotto 293 Telephoto Lens Support with Quick Release B&H # MA293 is something you may use to support this lens.
