Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 Overview

The 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC Lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount from Rokinon is a manual focus telephoto prime lens useful for portraiture and most telephoto applications. Its fast f/2.0 maximum aperture is effective in low light and enables shallow depth of field control. The optical design includes one extra-low dispersion lens element to control chromatic aberration, contributing to sharp, color-accurate imaging, and each of its lens elements features Ultra Multi-Coating to improve light transmission and reduce ghosting and flare. An internal focus system prevents the front end from rotating which allows more effective use of variable filters.

A durable metal barrel with a wide focus ring and manual aperture control ring offer tactile control over focus and exposure. An included, removable lens hood deters stray light from entering the lens, while protecting it from accidental impact and precipitation.

question

Can I use this lens on a super 35mm digital camcorder like the Sony FS700?
Asked by: Landmark P.
As the Sony NEX-FS700R Super 35 Camcorder uses the Sony E-mount, not the Canon EF lens mount, the above lens would not work for your needs. Instead, you would need to purchase the Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC Lens for Sony E MountB&H # RO1352SE, for use on the Sony NEX-FS700R Super 35 Camcorder. Do note this is a fully manual lens, so you will need to set the focal length and aperture on the lens manually.

Unfortunately for some reason the chip does not work on the D3500. The lenses are compatible but in fully manual mode and only on M, the other modes give a lens incompatible warning.

Is this lens compatible with the Nikon D800 and Nikon D5300? On the product page, only D800E is listed.
Asked by: Karthik
The Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 Lens for Nikon F Mount with AE Chip is compatible with both the D800 and the D5300. Do note that there is a 1.5x crop factor when using this lens on the D5300, so the true focal length will be approximately 202.5mm.

Why does this lens not come with an AE CHIP for Canon?? For traits I'd want the focus beep confirmation and the ability to shift aperture through the camera.

I just ordered this lens and considering it's weight, I wonder what a good tripod collar would be for this lens since I'm using it with a Canon 5DS on a camera stand?
Asked by: James
There isn't a specific collar for this lens, however you can get a universal collar made by Manfrotto; https://bhpho.to/2bwh1Ow
