The Nikon F-mount version of this lens features an AE chip that provides auto exposure metering in Auto, Program, Aperture-Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual modes as well as a focus confirmation in the camera's viewfinder when focus has been reached manually.

The optical design includes one extra-low dispersion lens element to control chromatic aberration, contributing to sharp, color-accurate imaging, and each of its lens elements features Ultra Multi-Coating to improve light transmission and reduce ghosting and flare. An internal focus system prevents the front end from rotating which allows more effective use of variable filters.

A durable metal barrel with a wide focus ring and manual aperture control ring offer tactile control over focus and exposure. An included, removable lens hood deters stray light from entering the lens, while protecting it from accidental impact and precipitation.

Is this lens compatible with the Nikon D3500?
Asked by: Lynn
Unfortunately for some reason the chip does not work on the D3500. The lenses are compatible but in fully manual mode and only on M, the other modes give a lens incompatible warning.

The Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 Lens for Nikon F Mount with AE Chip is compatible with both the D800 and the D5300. Do note that there is a 1.5x crop factor when using this lens on the D5300, so the true focal length will be approximately 202.5mm.

question

Can I use this lens on a super 35mm digital camcorder like the Sony FS700?
Asked by: Landmark P.
You can if you buy an adaptor. This lens is EF-mount, meanwhile Sony FS700 has Sony-E mount. It will have some cropfactor, though. I'm guessing 1.4 or 1.5x? Meaning you'll probably see it as a 200mm.But it does work, and its a fantastic lens for its price.
