Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing These are really great Radio Slaves, work perfectly fine with my 5ds and Studo strobe packs. I chose to get these rather than the PocketWizards for a few reasons. 1. Cost _ they are cheap, you can drop em, break em or lose them. No big deal. 2. Low profile, they do not STICK UP in the middle of my camera, creating a wall between me and my subject. THIS was the primary reason I was drawn to them. 3. Each unit can send or receive, Like duh how cool is that. The pocket wizards are dedicated to one or the other. So if one breaks, buddy you better have a $$$ backup, as opposed to being able to afford many of these, and swap them around as needed sending or receiving. 4. They light up nicely, you can see lighted indicators showing that they are recieiving, even if your sync cord ( houshold ) is not put in correctly, polarity wise - experienced ( older ) photogs will get this. 5. I also got some stick on cold shoes from impact, put them on the side of my strobe packs, so now my slaves have a place to be, not dangling loose. AND I also got some screw in PC's and put one on each receiver to connect the strobe packs. The PC's actually cost more than the unit. 6. Affordable - a point worth mentioning twice, so I bought 7 packs ( 14 units) to use, and have backups besides. Been using them for about 8 months now, had my doubts due to brand and price, but my concerns were unfounded. They work flawlessly The only downside is that they take AAA batteries, I use the Ultimate Lithiums, but you only get a FEW FULL DAYS on a set of batteries, the recieiers use more than the same unit set to transmit for some reason. Looking for a viable rechargeable battery situation, bottom line is that AAA's just sort of don't last at all, regardless. They should have made them take AA's, even if they would cost more to make, and were a bit bigger because of. Also, these are just for studio strobe situations, not for speedlights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price for a basic trigger set! Like the previous review stated. Great price for a radio trigger set. These being transceivers makes them quiet versatile to switch from a receiver to a transmitter. Bought two sets and having the channel options allows one to group as necessary if you have that many strobes in use. Build quality is good and as expected for the price. The compact size is easy to work with too. The indicator lights are useful to verify that they are powered up and ready. You'll have to verify sync speeds with your particular camera though. 1/125'th is the best I can do with my 5D-IV and still get a dark bar on the bottom of the frame. Meanwhile the Canon M3 will sync at 1/160'th. Obviously HSS and ETTL is not possible with these and I knew that going in. I shoot these manually with no issue other than wish I could have a higher sync speed rather than having to dial back the monolight/speedlite or use an ND filter. When the batteries get low, they do a multi burst on the flashes. I don't know if this is an intended "feature" indicator of a low battery in the unit. I use the white Eneloops and get about 350-400 triggers before they need to be recharged. Wake-up functions as claimed. The triggers are powered down if I'm going to be away for any time longer than 10 minutes to conserve as much battery as possible. Very pleased and will buy more of these as Speedlites are added.
