The GA-H97N Motherboard from Gigabyte is designed to fit in cases that support the Mini-ITX form factor. It supports 4th and 5th generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors in the LGA1150 package. This motherboard also uses an Intel H97 express chipset and has been designed for those looking to bring a blend of features and technologies to their next PC build that will create a strong performance platform for a wide range of tasks, including Internet browsing, gaming, and CAD software. The GA-H97N Motherboard supports Windows 8.1, 8, and 7 operating systems.

The Mini-ITX form factor of the GA-H97N can support up to 16GB of 1600 MHz PC3-12800 or 1333 MHz PC3-10600 DDR3 non-ECC memory modules for dual channel memory architecture. Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) modules are also supported and the GA-H97N has a total of 6 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 4 x rear USB 3.0 ports, and 2 x rear USB 2.0 ports. To provide data redundancy, RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 modes are supported. For PCIe expansion, there is one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (running at x16) and one mini-PCI Express slot.

Graphically, this motherboard contains integrated Intel HD Graphics that supports up to 512MB of shared DDR3 memory. When connected via one of the two HDMI ports, resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz or 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz are supported. When its single DVI-I port is connected, a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz is achieved. Support for up to three simultaneous displays is also possible if a D-Sub monitor is connected using a separately sold DVI-to-D-Sub adapter.

Network connectivity is achieved using dual Gigabit LAN ports - one Intel controller and one Atheros controller. This motherboard is compatible with systems that run Windows 8.1, 8, and 7.
