The Garmin Bike Speed Sensor and Cadence Sensor allow you to monitor your pedaling cadence and/or speed as you ride. Simply attach the sensors and ride. They don't have any magnets or other exposed parts to line up, making them easy to install, maintain, and move between bikes. The cadence sensor fastens to any crank arm size and measures pedal strokes per minute so you can get the most out of your training. The speed sensor attaches to the hub of either wheel and self-calibrates with your separately sold compatible Garmin device to provide speed and distance at all times, even if you're using a turbo trainer indoors. Both sensors allow you to improve your personal best.

    Garmin 010-12104-00 reviews

Bike Speed Sensor and Cadence Sensor is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well. Unit install with no problems. I cleaned all mounting surfaces, units, and mounting rubber bands with rubbing alcohol to ensure they would not slide around and give erratic readings. I compared readings with my old GSC-10 (which always worked great) and a second Garmin head unit. Readings were accurate and slightly fast than my old GSC-10 that has now been retired to my trainer bike. I am using these sensors with a Garmin 1000, heartrate monitor, power meter, mechanic group set and have had no cross talking issues with any of the units listed. Unit was installed on front wheel. So I have no information about rear wheel distance/performance of the speed sensor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bluetooth-Coupled Speed/Cadence Sensors The speed and cadence sensors both arrived sooner than promised. Each took less than a minute to install on my bike. Both sensors paired with my Garmin EDGE 800 bike computer on the first try. I rode for a total of 70 miles or so with my old bike computer and old sensors (a Cateye Strada with its wired speed and cadence sensors) also installed for comparison. The two sets of sensors tracked very closely, with negligible differences for fractions of seconds. Subsequently removing the old wired sensors really de-cluttered my bike. I'm very satisfied with these new sensors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the speed sensor I have a garmin edge 510 that came with the GSC-10 sensors. I hated the wheel magnet so I would never use it. I upgraded to this specifically because there was nothing that goes on the spokes. The speed sensor just hooks around the hub axle. Its easy to install and swap bikes if you want. The cadence sensor just hooks on to the crank arm and can also be swapped easily. The only thing that was tricky is that when scanning for your sensors from the head unit, its not speed & cadence, its speed cadence which you have to page down to see. I like the speed sensor. Its more accurate than GPS alone, and no magnet to off weight the wheel or fly off. My power data in strava looks slightly, very slightly less jumpy. (I don't have power meters, but it calculates it from speed) I'm not sure I like the cadence sensor as much as the magnet one. It seems to take about 2 spins before it sends data, and it might be delayed about 1 second. While trying to sprint I set 100 RPM as when I want to shift, but I keep waiting for the computer to tell me what I already know. It bounces around too so I'm not sure its as accurate. Maybe I could install it better to get better data, I don't know. If you have power meters most of those will give you cadence, so maybe you don't need that part. I would like to give this 4.5 stars, but that is not an option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy setup Overall happy with the system. Easy to set up. I did run into one problem with the cadence sensor. It's bulky enough that there were clearance issues installing it on the non-drive side crank arm as directed. Fortunately, there was enough clearance to install it on the drive side crank arm. This may be an issue for some people though. On the non-drive side it was not able to clear the chainstay.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dead batteries? I put my new speed and cadence sensors on the bike but the led indicators would not light up when I rotated the pedals and the wheel. I think they came with dead batteries. Guess I have to take them back off the bike now and put in new batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, Simple to set up This is one of the best and easiest sensors to set up. Easy to swap between bikes, and no magnets or alignment to fool around with. I highly recommend it for any cyclist or triathlete!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I use this when commuting and am working on improving my cadence. This has reduced the tricky set up of my old setup and uses ant+ to connect with cycle computer.
