    Denon DN-202WT reviews

DN-202WT Wireless Audio Transmitter is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not transmit sound in high quality Sound transmits with a small Amount of distortion in sound quality which is not good enough. If I had to place a number on it I would say you lose around 5 percent of the sound quality when compared to a hard wired setup. Fine tuning the controls and equipment helps but still not good enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product. Was looking for some way of connecting my PC (installed in my bedroom) and my amp, which is installed in my living room, so I could play music from my library on the hard drive. Tried several devices and they didn't worked. Distance is just over 40' with several walls and WiFi extender right in the middle. Also I have my WiFi router installed just few feet away from the amp. DN-202WT Wireless Audio Transmitter and Dn-202WR Wireless Audio Receiver was my last attempt to use wireless solution and it worked. Installation was easy and the only adjustment required is audio output level from my PC. Level should be set just right, using peak indicators on transmitter in order to avoid distortion. I am using Marantz PM6005 amp with Technics SB-T200 speakers and it sounds very good. For testing purposes I played some CD on CD player connected to the amp directly and then using DN-202 wireless set. Can't hear any difference. Power adapter connector on the front side is little bit strange, however it is a good product and it works as advertised.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not reliable I set this system up about 50ft apart within line of sight and it did not work. I attempted setting it up in many locations and heights and It never seemed to be reliable. Whenever a person would come close to walking in between the transmitter and receiver it would cut out. On top of that it would cut out occasionally even when no one was near.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Denon Sends The Signal The transmitter seems to send the signal from the booth to the upstage concrete wall. A throw of 60+ feet. We are replacing the Receiver which arrived with a power issue. When we get the new one up and running we think we'll be good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from spectacular I'm not sure why such bad review. I bought one transmitter and two receiver; and use them on a Pioneer controller and Yamaha studio powered speakers. Sound quality is outstanding. No drop-out, no statics, no nothing. Just perfect CD quality sound. The price is also spectacular. Literally a fraction of the price of similar systems that I have owned over the past months (2.4Ghz digital: VocoPro, Wi Digital ProAudioMatrix and Russound X1 all had horrible statics and dropouts; and UHF Alto Stealth, etc all use audio compression and limited freq. response, that make them useless to use with a subwoofer (low freq. are cut out). The only system i keep as a backup or for long distance use is my trusty rock solid German engineered Sennheiser; but that is a $1200 piece of kit! This thing does the same thing for $350! So basically you got two option: -Sennheiser kit for $1200: UHF, 25-18.000Hz, solid 300feet -Denon DN-202: 2.4Ghz digital, 20-20.000Hz, 100feet I have not used them live yet (i.e. at a wedding or a venue), so will update if my opinion changes, but so far so good; highly recommended!!
