question

Can I use this with a Macbook Pro Early 2015 13inch? I'm guessing yes so it's 60hz. Can I connect with it with a HDMI cable? since this mac has a HDMI input.
Asked by: Matt
Yes, this should work as your secondary displaying using MDP cable and one of your TB ports. If you use the HDMI cable the refresh rate will be much lower than 60hz. It's a beautiful display but not officially supported for us by Dell. It does work though and is extremely nice in bootcamp (desktop management software & built-in speakers fully operate.)

question

What is the curvature?
Asked by: Anonymous
The short answer is that the U3415W has a curvature rating of R3800. The U3417W is a newer model and has a more pronounced curve at R1900.In terms of feel, you might search for Dell UltraSharp U3417W Impressions on youtube with Patrick Norton. Ultimately it led me to choose the older model with the gentler curve. It took me all of 5 minutes to get used to it. I'm very happy with the monitor.

question

Will this monitor work with a MacBook Air 11 2013 model?
Asked by: Anonymous
It should. It has HDMI and display port inputs. It just depends on the cable you use. Might need a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter. But for the best results you really want to use the display port.

question

My laptop has an integrated Intel HD Graphics Family card. Will it work with this monitor? I have a display port if that makes a difference.
Asked by: Anonymous
I have the same setup: yes, it works nicely at 60 Hz. You may want to double check with Intel for your particular chipset (ask if it supports 3440x1440 resolution). Mine is 530 series.
