Great idea, and I appreciate B&H for the addition, but in all honesty, I have no need for this piece. It works if you want to play your guitar via your phone or another device with a 1/4 mm headphone jack. I'm old school, like it loud..give me an amp!!

Handy

Yes, all you need to use in order to connect the iRig 2 to the Lightning port on an iOS device is the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H #A PLAADAP).

question

Can the iRig 2 be connected to the Behringer U-phoria 404HD to take phone calls?
Asked by: Lenny E.
The IK Multimedia iRig 2 is an interface designed to plug and play a guitar into an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, or Android device. It is not designed to take phone calls. Depending on what the application is exactly, we may be able to offer a solution manufactured by JK Audio.

Can I to send line in audio (headphone out of a switcher) through the irig2 to a cell phone call? Secondly, can the audio from the other party be extracted via the AMP out of the irig2?
Asked by: Stephen
While, technically, yes the iRig 2 will be used as a headset in this case (Sending the 1/4" input to the person on the phone and receiving signal from the caller via headphone and a 1/4" output). The person using the iRig 2 cannot hear themselves while they talk. A mixer is best suggested for this configuration. I can use it with my iPhone 7+ but I had to change an audio setting. I have some hearing loss, so in settings-accessibility-audio/visual I just had to switch "mono" to off.
