    Lexar S75 reviews

256GB JumpDrive S75 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (White) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing I purchased this to back up my Macbook Air 256GB internal flash drive using OS X's Time Machine app. Not only is this drive very slow, I could never get it to back up the entire drive. Eventually it would just bog down and stop working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive with good performance. PROS: - Inexpensive. - Simple design. - Delivers the expected performance. CONS: - It's a bit hard to close it, at least before you figure it out. SUMMARY: I've tested this drive for maximum data speed, using multiple large 4K video files in one group. The write speed was between 62-70MB/s, while the read was between 162-170MB/s. Obviously large files transfer much faster than small one, so best advice for a ton of small files is to put them into *.ZIP files first on the computer, and THEN transfer them onto the drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for travel Bought these for travel. I always back up my images to 2 hard drives and hand carry them home but they are a bit bulky. With high capacity thumbdrives I can keep the best of my trip's images on my person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best USB3 high storage Not the fastest USB3 but for the price/size imo the best offering in the market. In Sequentials, wirte 77 mb/s and reads 179 mb/s, its not by any means the fastest flash drive, i would say its mid table in performance, but still pretty good considering most of my media comes from hard drives. Where this drives excels its it size and price, incredible to pack 256gb on a very portable factor, not as small as Sandisk SDCZ43-128G-G46 but you can only go to 128gb and its writes are half of what you get with Lexar, so if you are in the market for a a lot of storage and acceptable writing at an affordable price, this flash drive is imo the best option atm. Btw for people like me that use them on their car radios, this comes formatted in fat32, it worked out of the box on a Pioneer AVH4500BT and MEH380BT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this 250GB Jump Drive again I purchased two of these 250GB Jump Drives. I was able to load all of my jpg photos on the first drive. Using GoodSync I backed up the first to the second. I don't have a lot of extra space on the 256GB drive so I hope Lexar comes out with a 500GB unit. I have the jpgs backed up on old 1GB IDE drives. I bought these because I don't like things that spin around. I use a 256GB SSD drive in my laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely buy with product again It's fast with USB3.0. It's MAC/PC compatible as I use it to share photos between my MacBook Pro and PC with Windows 10. With the four 256GB thump drives I purchased, I no longer need to carry a portable external hard drive to backup my photos during a photo shoot. I've used it's predecessor 64GB thump drive for a couple of years with no issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good value This drive is good for backups, and good value for 256GB. But for a USB3.0 flash is quite slow compared to Sandisk, for both reading and writing. If you don't mind the slower speed I would recommend it, otherwise there are a lot of faster options. The built quality is not as good as Snabdisk Extreme Pro flashes.
