The Anton/Bauer LP2 Dual V-Mount Battery Charger is a compact form factor simultaneous charger. When multiple batteries are being charged simultaneously, the LP2 detects which battery has the strongest charge and prioritizes it. This way a fully charged battery is available in the shortest amount of time. The charger uses internal software to communicate with compatible batteries and monitor the charging process and discharge curves. The monitoring allows each battery to be charged according to its own characteristics. Wi-Fi is integrated for fleet management by rental facilities, ENG/EFP/OB vehicles, and broadcast equipment depots.

Anton/Bauer LP2 Reviews
Got this for my Dionic XTs. Dead after two and a half years of light use. Out of Vitec's short warranty period (surprise). Lots of reports out there of these failing. Got the GM2 to replace it - better built, compatible with my XTs, more travel friendly, and about two thirds less expensive to replace than this overpriced paperweight.
I purchased two units, and both died.
I originally purchased one unit. After a few months, when it wasn't covered by warranty anymore, it died. I sent it to Vitec to be repaired on Jan 9th 19, but I had to purchase another one because it took forever to be fixed (it came back on May 23rd 19), and it cost 384 dollars, almost half of the price of a new one. After a few months, it started acting up. Some time goes by, and it dies again. A few weeks after also the second one dies. I'm very disappointed and thinking of switch to another brand.
Short, Fat and somewhat noisy
It charges batteries quickly. That's good. It's also inexplicably tall (or fatter) than the older Anton/Bauer quad power charger it replaces, so I had to reconfigure my travel case. This LP2 has a cooling fan, which the quad charger did not, and that fan runs non-stop whether or not there's batteries on it...annoying in a quiet hotel room with it anywhere near the bed and a probable repair issue at some point. Finally, it also has a small wifi antenna sticking out the back, which I happily removed as I'm told by A/B that functionality has not been activated yet.
Works exactly as expected. Quality charger.
I use this for work, my employer purchased these about a year ago and they're always broken, I am always having to send it off for repair. even though it's not my money it's a pain doing without while I wait for it to be returned
