Its optical design includes one aspherical element and one extra-low dispersion element, which help to reduce a variety of aberrations in order to produce a high degree of sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. I bought this lens for wildlife photography. This was my entry into the telephoto lens market. While this lens is not the longest out there its been crucial for my development in wildlife photography. This lens is decently sharp and I have no complaints with the image quality. It produces sharp clean images that can really impress those who aren't pixel pepping. The lens is a bit on the slow side. Starting out at 4.6 doesn't give you much flexibility in low light situations. This will force you to be creative to get the shot. The lens's stabilization is ok but nothing to rave about. The focus is a bit slower than some of Fuji's other lenses but it's been decent for me for the most part (and again I shoot wildlife). Pros low priced telephoto into Fuji X system Image clarity compact size Cons Not the greatest in low light plastic feel with some rattling A little slower to focus than higher-end lenses

I was looking for an affordable telephoto lens for my x-s10 and read many reviews about this one, no one said it was a bad lens, so i bought it. it is light, small and for use at daylight, perfect!, does not have aperture ring but it's ok. I was looking for the 70-300 but it's pricey so i got this. for not professional use it's great!

This is a decently sharp telephoto lens. The autofocus is rather slow and I find myself manually focusing most often, but the results with my landscapes and bird photos are satisfying.

Depending which Fuji camera the lens is paired with it does have the availability to shoot in manual mode or aperture priority. Also be aware this unit does not feature a manual aperture ring as the units aperture is driven electronically.
