It is not. This light is not waterproof. You would need to look at the Aputure Amaran AL-MW Mini LED Light, B&H # APALMW, for a waterproof light. https://bhpho.to/2SLQdNu

question

To light a wedding reception dance floor. Would you go with the W or S version of this light?
Asked by: NICHOLAS
Definitely the W, which as the name suggests has a wider throw. If you need a spot, you can pick up the EZ-Box+ kit, which includes a 35 degree grid. You can shape the light of the W narrower with the kit, but you can't make the spot wider. The W can light a whole room. The S, on the other hand, is more appropriate for interviews, or as a kicker.

question

Is this light brighter than the Westcott Flex 1 x 1?
Asked by: NICHOLAS
Brighter? This model that I have, Amaran HR672W , has a brighteness (dimming) control from 0-100% or 0-2080 Lux brightess, temperature of 5500 k (dayligth); for the work that I do, this light dilivers acceptable color (WB) accuracy, I never over 4 ft. away (distance) from my object.

2,080 Lux Brightness at 3.3' ...is what the Amaranth specs show. I have this light and it will light a 20'x20' room quite well.
