Telefunken M60 overview

  • 1Description

Marking the first non-vacuum tube FET-based solid state mic, the M60 Small Diaphragm FET Condenser Microphone from Telefunken utilizes the TK60 capsule from their M260 line combined with their M60 amplifier body. The mic provides a fast and accurate transient response, and can handle up to 130 dB of maximum SPL, allowing it to be placed in front of a variety of sound sources.

The frequency response is flat from 150 Hz to 7 kHz, with a smooth, airy presence peak at 8 kHz making it optimized for drum overheads, hi-hat and ride cymbals, piano, acoustic guitar, and other acoustic instruments. The mic features a clean, Class A discrete amplifier for accurate sonic reproduction and includes a shockmount, a zippered case, and XLR cable.
