This was a replacement for one that I dropped. The good news is that Olympus will have it repaired and back to me shortly. B&H stepped into the breach ang got this replacement to me in 24 hours despite Thanksgiving. This is an incredibly light andversatile lens and remarkable value. It lives on my camera except when I need a more specialized tool

Excellent travel lens

In addition to a DSLR (currently E-M5iii) I like to have a long zoom camera for travel/hiking. For years this has been an Olympus Stylus 1, but it is beginning to show its age (battery falls out if I am not careful). I tried the Sony RX10ii but never found it satisfactory. Because I like the E-M5, bought this lens and tested it extensively against the Sony especially in limited lighting. Despite the aperture difference (constant f/2.8 vs. f/4-5.6) and probably because of the sensor size difference, the Olympus lens performs well. With Lightroom noise adjustment I found the images competitive. So this lens, the E-M5, and the Panasonic 20mm pancake for low light are my new travel kit. P.S. Four stars because--really--it isn't up to the quality of the 12-40 f/2.8.

Good lens. Great range and quality. Not the best in low light but that’s the trade off for the range and singular lense!

This is a very good lens. This is my second. I unfortunately dropped my first one on vacation and broke it. The shipping was fast and the price was the same as what Olympus offered it for. I also purchased the 4 year drop insurance.

Blackmagic Design cameras all can momentarily push-button activate any electronic auto-focus lens, including this one. There is, however, no continuous auto focus with Blackmagic Design cameras.

I have no criticisms of this lens. Truthfully I don't understand the question -- what is BMPCC 4K? I have enjoyed this lens and recommend it as a great walk-around lens.

How does this compare to the ED 12-50mm F3.5-6.3 EZ Lens (kit lens)?
Asked by: Bing
The 14-150 lens will offer you a longer range in one without the need to switch lenses. The 14-150 is also a better build lens that can withstand better long term use. The 12-50 has a macro mode that increases the magnification to take photos of small items such as a large flower, but the macro mode is not very strong, so if you are interested in taking photos of small items such as a diamond on a ring it wouldn't be strong enough magnification for that.
