Oracle 7063158 Overview

The 6.25TB StorageTek LTO-6 Ultrium Tape Cartridge from Oracle offers 2.5TB of native storage and 6.25TB of compressed storage capacity. With an estimated 30 year archival tape life, the cartridge offers high data integrity and longevity for securely retaining data. The large cartridge memory minimizes access time to files creating faster restores. StorageTek LTO Ultrium data cartridges are compatible with tape drives made by Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Quantum.

Constructed from metal particle media with magnetic stability for archival applications
Dual-coating process offers durability and stability, as well as low error rate under changing environmental conditions
Stable data reading and writing performance for high-density recording and archiving delivered via a PEN base film with dimensional stability
Timing-based servo technology creates tracking accuracy minimizing data loss and facilitating high tape performance levels
Noncontact 8KB cartridge memory enables storage of historical usage records, indexing, and high-speed data searches by the drive

LTO-6 is tape based storage, and will work with any LTO-6 drive. Note that LTO-6 is not hard drive based.
