Radial Engineering IC-1 overview

  • 1Description

Designed to eliminate hum and buzz cause by ground loops, the IceCube IC-1 Balanced Line Isolator and Hum Eliminator from Radial Engineering can be inserted directly into your signal path via its glass-filled nylon XLR connectors. Its proprietary Eclipse transformer isolates the input from the output and blocks stray DC currents, providing a linear response from 20 Hz to 18 kHz. It can handle up to +10 dB at 20 Hz with less than 0.01% distortion.

The IceCube is made of solid 16-gauge steel and features a powder-coat finish. The steel provides electromagnetic shielding from nearby cables, motors, and power supplies.

    Radial Engineering IC-1 reviews

IceCube IC-1 Balanced Line Isolator and Hum Eliminator is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, Capable Problem Solver I have a pair of Radial Twin-Iso in my road kit that are excellent problem solvers, and I trust them to handle any signal. Their downside is they're quite large, and so I can't find room for them in my flying case. This IceCube isolator is exactly what I was hoping to find, a robust transformer that I can subject to line level to troubleshoot and solve problems in sound systems. It's plenty small to toss in with my measurement gear and built with the usual Radial rock solid casing. Thanks, Radial!
