    TP-Link AC1900 reviews

    AC1900 Archer C9 Dual-Band Gigabit Router is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for 1 bedroom NYC apartment I bought this so I don't have to pay extra for Time Warner Cable/Spectrum home wifi ($5 a month). This is what I wanted exactly and easy to assemble and works just fine. One thing I am kind of confused about was a little CD they have it inside of the box. I put that little CD into my macbook and had a hard time taking it out. Theres no instruction what it is or how to use it or not to use it on a certain laptops and such. But other than that I recommend this to others if they need a good but not too expensive home router. I live in a 1 bedroom apt in NYC so not sure if this would be good for a bigger homes in terms of wireless range so i would double check before purchase for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade from N+ Upgraded to this router to replace a 6-year old N+ gigabit router that only broadcast on the 2.4ghz band. We live in a 2-story townhouse with the router in the middle of the first floor, and didn't get good signal upstairs on our phones or smart TV. This router did exactly what we were hoping for. Huge broadcast antennae for better range, and the option to use our cell phone wifi on the 5ghz band freeing up bandwidth on the 2.4ghz band. Reception isn't as strong as downstairs, but we've had no issues with dropped signal upstairs since we upgraded. Setup was extremely fast and easy. Very happy with this router.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works (mostly) as advertised Had some moderate trouble setting this up, but the manual helped (had to copy the MAC address of my laptop to be used by the router). Beyond that, it actually gets the same speeds on the wireless as it does on the wire in most of the house, except for one corner. The only thing I am disappointed with are the parental controls: besides hard to use, they don't work with apps. I.e., they are useless. Still hoping for parental controls designed by a parent, instead of by engineers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and use, works perfectly! Our previous router kept dropping the signal several times a day, so we had to keep restarting it. We got the Archer C9 and have had no problems at all anymore, and the range is much better with the 3 antennas. Setup was easier than any other router I've worked with. Almost just plug-n-play, very little guess work on configuring it. It took me about 5-10 minutes from the time I plugged it in to the time we had the internet up and running again. With previous routers and all the configurations I've spent hours trying to get them to work. I would definitely recommend the TP-Link Archer C9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raw Power and Range I was tired of mid range WIFI routers and i decided to go with the AC1900 because i always liked the products from TP-LINK. I have a full home network including smartphone and smart TV streaming., and NETFLIX would always buffer 1) this router is designed well. clean and appealing. 2) POWER, POWER, POWER, long range and absolute no buffering on HD streaming @ 1080p videos. 3) excellent extras, USB ports for making a shared Storage external HDD 3) if I had to find anything to give a complaint about is the aluminum stand is not movable. but I can see why as to keep the 3 antennas at high points. TIP, if you are connecting a hardwired form a port to a desktop, use cat 6 cables to get the most out of your high speed broadband, it makes a difference

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightning Fast So I bought this after reading mixed reviews from multiple online sources. I have a 60 Mbps Internet connection. It actually measures 64 Mbps via Ethernet connection on an online speed check service. On the same service WiFi measured 49.5 Mbps via 2G and 56.4 Mbps via 5G one floor up. I am able to pick up my 5G signal throughout the entire house. My home is 2 stories and 3,800 sq ft. Overall this is a great router and a steal at this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic router I never knew how much bandwidth I was leaving on the table until I got this router. I just replaced my belkin router with the C9 and it was shocking the result. Not only did I have better range thought my house but the connection speed put an instant grin on my face. I knew that I made the right decision I only wish that I made it sooner. This router is worth every penny you will pay for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great router for the price I'm upgrading from an older N generation router and the TP-Link Archer C9 is a huge imporovement. Having dual-bands has helped free up some of the congestion that we previously experienced on the 2.4 Ghz band (multiple iPads, iPhones, BluRay, Roku, PCs, etc). The range is outstanding and speed is fantastic. Setup is easy, even for non-technical users. My only complaint is that the latest firmware seems to have disabled the Media Server / UPNP / DLNA capabilities. I have filed a support ticket with TP-Link and expect they will address it in a future firmware release.
