Designed for long-range observation on land or sea, the Newcon Optik 28x100 Big Eye ED Binoculars feature extralow-dispersion glass elements that reduce chromatic aberration, with large 100mm objectives and fully multicoated optics that maximize light transmission. The combination of optics and coatings produce bright and clear high-contrast images with true color representation - even in low light. To help minimize the disorientation often associated with using high-magnification optics on rolling seas, the binoculars have a wide 70° apparent angle of view. Each ocular is individually focused to achieve the sharpest possible images.
Complementing the optical performance is a housing that is designed to hold up to daily use in rugged environments. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and IP67-rated to provide fogproof, dustproof and weatherproof performance in extreme conditions and drastic changes in temperature. Their broad 31 to 122°F operating temperature range allows them to function properly in the most inhospitable climates. Because of the nearly seven pound weight, the Big Eye comes with a mount that swivels a full 360° horizontally and up to 135° vertically.
