Add a little bit of light to nearly any scene thanks to Pentax's All Weather construction of the Pentax AF201FG Flash. This compact unit is compatible with Pentax's P-TTL system for automatic flash exposure and it has a guide number of 66' at ISO 100 and the 19mm setting when used with APS-C DSLRs. A built-in pull-out wide-angle panel is featured on the flash for expanding coverage to a 13mm lens. Also, it tilts from -10 to 135° for full bounce functionality.
In addition to automatic control, the AF201FG has a dial on the back that enables the setting of manual power at 1/1 or 1/4. The flash also offers a recycle time of 4-7 seconds at full power and is compatible with first and second curtain sync modes. It runs on 2 AAA batteries and comes with a case.

Limited flash for Ricoh GR3
Works well in P-TTL mode as a bounce flash in average room. Tilts almost 180, does not rotate. I use it on Ricoh GR3. It seems that all settings on this camera results in the same output. The M 1/4 power is basically equal to full power. It may work differently on a Pentax camera...don’t know. A larger Metz/Pentax flash designed for theP-TTL system cannot be triggered remotely with this on-camera flash. Again, this may be the limiting factor of the GR3.
Nice
Is nice
Nice compact flash
I purchased this flash for two reasons: its compact and weather resistant design. The only cons is its battery life. Overall, I´m happy with it.
Compact Bounce Flash
Nice compact flash to complement the Pentax K-3 II that does not have a built-in flash. Head will rotate so you can have bounce flash as well.
Excellent performance so far
This flash is a perfect fit for my Pentax K1. I haven't used it too much, but I have nothing to complain about so far. It is small and light, just what I wanted. The full power mode, however, is good enough - particularly since the K1 can handle higher ISOs and slower shutter speeds. Also, being fully compatible with the Pentax TTL system, the auto mode works much better than the earlier Sigma one that I used. I am very satisfied with the flash.
Perfect Pentax flash for walk around/fill in
This is a small lightweight flash with full Pentax P-TTL functionality. It needs minimal space in my walk around bag, and works well at short distances with my 100mm macro lens, allowing smaller aperture to maximize depth of field for macro shots. I find it perfect for my needs when it's not necessary to use the larger Pentax flashes, which are significantly larger and heavier.
Perfect for Ricoh GR3
Additionally it is totally function with Pentax DSLRs!8
