The Olympus EP-16 Large Eyecup is a detachable rubber eyecup for the E-M5 Mark II that offers protection for the viewfinder from scratches and the elements, and helps to block stray light from entering the electronic viewfinder, which makes for clearer focusing and composition. Of course, it also provides a level of comfort for the user when looking through the viewfinder.

EP-16 Large Eyecup for OM-D E-M5 Mark II Camera is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good design poor execution I like this bigger eyecup more than the stock, especially in sunny weather it allows you to get snugger fit with you viewfinder :) The downside is that the edge of the rubber has relatively sharp edge, especially for my shin around eyes. Shooting for 15+ years various cameras and never experienced this issue before... Had to use nail file to smoothen it. Hope Oly will fix it and hope it's not me only ;-)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overpriced but necessary Always wearing glasses, I find large eyecups are essential to stop flaring in the viewfinder. So I always buy a large eyecup for an Olympus camera, even though they are outrageously expensive for a piece of rubber with plastic mount. At least, I have never lost one of the large ones, whereas the regular sized Olympus eyecups are infamous for falling off. So performance is excellent, price is outrageous, so 3 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For you eye only Tight fit around the naked eye. But bad and too stiff if you have glasses. keeps your eye another 1/4 away from the EVF.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Larger but deeper too The added depth compared to the standard eye cup doesn't play well with eye glasses for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What can I say. What can I say. Its an eyecup. Does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for eyeglass wearers I own and use an OLYMPUS OMD EM5 Mark II camera. While I enjoy the cameras I am also an eyeglass wearer and the default eye cup isn't optimum. The EP16, is a larger eyecup for that body (and maybe some others) that works very well for eyeglass wearers like me. It not only blocks more extraneous light it also helps prevent scratches to eye glasses. About its only flaw is it is a bit expensive, but worth it to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always have a spare! It's a good idea to have a spare one of these if you are photographing in the Amazon, the Arctic sea, or the plains of East Africa. Unfortunately, as good as the Olympus OMDs are, the eyepiece can too easily become detached and lost. Don't leave home without a spare!
