The flower-shaped Tamron HA007 Lens Hood is dedicated to the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD lens and helps to minimize flare by deflecting stray light from entering the lens. The hood also provides additional protection to the lens from accidental impacts, bumps, and scratching.

HA007 Lens Hood for SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD Lens is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lost the original due to the poor design. This is identical. What can I say? The replacement hood is identical to the one that came with the lens. I lost the original while on a photo walk. I use a BlackRapid strap, and occasionally, the lens brushes my leg and the hood falls off - apparently easily - since it happens frequently. I just didn't hear it hit the groud this time, and I'm sure some confused person came across it in the park, wondering what it was. The Tamron lens hood doesn't lock onto the lens like the hoods on the Nikon 24-70 2.8s. It would be nice if Tamron or some 3rd party would develop a locking hood for this otherwise awesome lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OEM Geniune replacement hood Exactly the same is the one that came with the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from saved my lens how can I not give it 5 stars, when the original one died a hero, sparing my Tamron 24-70 F/2.8 from death when I knocked my tripod over. Saved my Nikon D810 underneath too. other then that, well, its a lens hood. attaches easily and firmly and does what lens hoods are supposed to do. Now if I can find one that warns me to not knock my tripod over...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricey, but no substitute I purchased a used 24-70 and it didn't have the hood. I looked at 3rd party alternatives, but when you're purchase a lens in this price range, you really want the manufacturer's hood. Suprisingly, you need to take the lens cap off to reverse the hood on the lens for storage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A poor experience The worst lens hood I've ever had ... It feels cheap, to put it and remove it from the lens, you have to exert enough force, do not click, as another would. Really disappointed, poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like the original I have a Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 lens that i use quite a bit when walking around. Somewhere along the line I lost my lens hood and really missed having it. Without the hood i would get more lens flare and other artifacts in my photos. I finally broke down and purchased it when all my looking throughout the house turned up nothing. Fits perfectly and works like the original.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value OEM product Product is the OEM hood and meets the exact needs for use. Other products attach to the filter threads and would not be as user friendly as the OEM product. Shipping was fast and the price was much lower than other places but more than the generic products. The OEM product was the only solution for me, so this was the best value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for the price It's not a snap on; it does not align with the thread to start the screw-in process; it doesn't tighten; result - it unscrews itself and is flimsy. Not happy with the product for the price. Tamron should really think about adding a snap-on to lock itself in. Now I really miss the hood that came with the 24-70 lens.
