    Dell U2515H reviews

U2515H 25" Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great, watch out for HDMI compatibility No dead pixels. Monitor is even in light and colors. Some minor bleed around the edges. Sharp, fast. Super gentle touch monitor buttons that dont require you to break your fingers when adjusting settings. ***WARNING*** Make sure your video card supports a display port cable. The monitor still works with HDMI from your video card, but the resolution and refresh rate may not be at its maximum setting. Running this monitor with HDMI or dual link HDMI converter will cause all kinds of problems, so a display port connection will cause the least amount of headache. I am currently connected to my video card with an hdmi mini cable. In order to display the maximum 2560x1440 I must manually set a custom resolution in your video cards control panel (nvidia)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitor for Mac Mini I bought this for my Mac mini (late 2014) after doing a lot of research for a monitor that this little computer will drive that is close to Retina quality. I am completely satisfied, Although the 2560 x 1440 resolution makes every element (icons, text) smaller than my old 1920 x 1080 monitor, the resolution is sharp and clear. The fact that it came with a mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable enabled native resolution with the Mac mini right out of the box, while leaving the monitor's HDMI port open for an Apple TV. There are so many things I like about this monitor that I could go on and on. Suffice it to say that I am very pleased with it for my setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW Wow, this monitor is awesome. I have it hooked up to my laptop using a display port cable. Colors are accurate, the picture is crisp, controls are adequate, and size is just right. At first I was worried that text may be too small, and I would have to increase the default text size/dpi. Nope. The higher resolution gives me more working space, and with the monitor about 30 away from my eyes, the text is clearly legible. I almost shied away from the monitor because of the price, but it definitely beats the $150ish monitors that I used to use. I am a DBA and do some coding, and I sit in front of my monitor 8+ hours per day. No problems here. Love this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dell U2515H 25 Widescreen LED Monitor This is a splendid monitor. While the resolution is half that of a Retina display, it's a huge improvement over my previous LG LED with the standard resolution of 1920x1080. The Dell packs 2560x1440 in only a 25 screen, only slightly larger screen than the LG. With the narrow bezels, the monitor is physically no larger than the LG 23. The box the monitor comes in is a crazy maze of protective cardboard that you could never hope to reassemble for a return. That aside, it was piece of cake to get it up and running on my 2012 Ma ini: One display port cable connection and no power brick! I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a high resolution 24 monitor and who can't spring for an iMac 5k Retina.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful display I use this attached via the DisplayPort cable (included) thru a Thunderbolt dock that extends my too-small-for-all-day-use Macbook Air 11'. Best features: (1.) Calibration from factory with included report. Beautiful! (2.) Modest bezel and power-on light (3.) Adjustable height Moderate issues: (1.) I initially could not get a display signal to the monitor. This resolved itself when I re-powered/re-started each component in the chain. Sometimes, however, the monitor does not respond after 'Sleep'. Again, this is resolved by simply opening the clamshell of the Macbook Air. (2.) Tricky to plug in the peripherals by inserting straight-up. But I totally get why this is the way it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Close to perfect but not quite Pros = very good blacks (better than my old LG W227 TN panel, which was decent); excellent realistic color, great screen compromise between the contrast/reflectivity of glossy and the dullness of matte; good interpolation at 1080p; easy to use controls/menus; adjustable height (had to use a phone book under the LG and it was still low); no banding, no dead pixels. Cons = terrible power button (turns off easily but is very difficult to turn on - you have to hit it just right and the button is small and flush), so I just leave it in sleep mode (same wattage at .5); moderate IPS bleed/flashlighting in left corners (you can see it in dark scenes but it isn't that bad - right side is fine). I am pleased/satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Image, Video Editors. Not so much gamers. I bought this monitor to support video editing from my Macbook Pro, and so far it's performed wonderfully. The mini Displayport means I can throw away my mDP-DVI adapter, and the extra USB 3 ports really help since I'm on a laptop.8ms response time isn't anything to write home about, but unless you're into twitch-shooters it's unlikely to get you killed. Some of the newer IPS displays get down to 5ms which would have been nice, but those probably don't come with calibration reports...Overall, I think it's a fantastic looking monitor with an excellent feature set. As a pro-sumer at best, I wish it was about $ cheaper. That would change this from being a decent buy to a solid deal. But if work is paying for it, I would recommend these monitors in a heart beat. Definitely over the 1080p Dell monitors too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality monitor to connect to my MBP I won't claim to know about all of the details on color matching. I just wanted a good quality monitor that would replace an old 21 monitor that I connect to my 2011 MacBook Pro. I wanted good color quality for my personal photo efforts so I wanted an IPS monitor and I'd heard good things about the Dell models. It hooked up easily and I've been very pleased so far. The colors are so much better than my old monitor. I did have a 24 iMac with great color quality as well (it died, which is why I'm using the MBP) but not nearly the resolution of this monitor. Well worth the cost in my opinion.
