The Audio-Technica ATW-1311 System 10 PRO is a two-channel digital wireless bodypack audio system featuring a half-rack ATW-RC13 receiver chassis equipped with two ATW-RU13 receiver units. It is well suited for rackmounting in portable flight cases or for permanent installations in educational facilities, conference rooms, small to mid-sized venues, and houses of worship as well as broadcast studios.

The easy-to-use system comes preconfigured at the factory, ready to operate right out of the box with no setup required. Three levels of diversity reception and automatic frequency selection provide seamless, reliable performance with clear digital audio for presenters, lecturers, clergy, and performers.

The ATW-1311 includes two bodypack transmitters each featuring Hirose 4-pin cW-style connectors, allowing you to choose compatible lavs or headset mics for hands-free speech for two performers or presenters. The transmitters provide up to 7 hours of continuous use with two AA batteries, at a maximum range of 200'.

The receiver units can be removed from the chassis and mounted remotely (up to 328' away, connected via Ethernet cables), for more reliable reception. Up to five chassis can be linked using RJ12 cables, creating a stable environment in which up to 10 receiver units work together, with all receiving, transmitting, and frequency allocation coordinated to prevent audio dropouts.

Clear Digital Audio That's Easy to Set Up and Operate
Digital Audio Qualtiy

  • The System 10 PRO offers full-bandwidth, 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio with none of the audio artifacts associated with analog companding.

Automatic Frequency Selection

  • Just power up the components, and the receiver automatically seeks out a clean frequency and pairs up with the transmitter, saving you the hassle of scanning and syncing.
  • While in use, the system continually monitors activity in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi range and automatically switches to a clean frequency to avoid interference if necessary.

Rugged Receiver Chassis

  • The durable half-rack receiver chassis houses both receiver units and can be mounted alone using the included mounting brackets and screws. Two chassis can be mounted side-by-side using the included joining plate, allowing four wireless mic channels to occupy a single 19" rackspace for a compact multichannel installation.
  • The chassis' front-panel display provides visual status information including RF signal level and the transmitter's battery life, along with a 3-color audio-level LED and a Pair LED.
  • A System ID number display indicates which transmitter is associated with a given receiver.
  • Rear-panel connections include balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" output connections as well as output level controls and ground-lift switchs to help eliminate audible hum caused by ground loops.

Two Versatile Receiver Units

  • Each receiver unit features two removable antennas.
  • A 1/4"-20 thread allows for mounting each unit to a bracket, stand, and other fixture. The units can also be permanently wall mounted using the included receiver unit holders.

Two Lightweight Bodypack Transmitters

  • The transmitters are housed in lightweight, plastic chassis equipped with locking Hirose 4-pin cW-style connectors and belt clips.
  • An internal input trim control can be set to match the sensitivity of your microphone or audio source for distortion-free input.
  • With just a quick press, the power switch on the transmitter doubles as a mute function. This function can be locked out to prevent an accident.

Pairing Multiple Transmitters

  • Up to 10 transmitters can be paired with a receiver ahead of time. This is useful in situations when you have multiple speakers, one after another, and you need to have them miked up and ready to go. All you'll have to do is turn one transmitter off and the next one on.
Three Levels of Diversity Assurance to Avoid Dropouts
Triple Diversity Reception Maximizes Wireless Signal Integrity

  • Space Diversity: The receiver compares the signal showing up at its two antennas and chooses the strongest one.
  • Time Diversity: The transmitter sends the digital signal in two imperceptibly different time slots and compares the two.
  • Frequency Diversity: The digital audio is sent over two different frequencies at the same time and the system chooses the cleaner one.

For optimal performance, users are encouraged to maintain as direct a line of sight as possible between the transmitter and receiver.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Band

  • Unlike traditional analog wireless systems, the System 10 PRO operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, away from interruptions and dropouts caused by TV and radio channel interference.
Add Functionality to Your System
Audio-Technica offers a variety of lavalier, headset, instrument cable, and handheld microphone options to adapt your System 10 PRO as your needs evolve.

Presenters

  • Low-visibility, miniature MT830cW lavalier microphones deliver a natural sound optimized for speech intelligibility. The omnidirectional polar pattern ensures that the sound remains consistent, even when the speaker's head moves away from the mic
  • The AT831cW mini cardioid lavalier mic offers a narrower, feedback-resistant pickup pattern for louder events.
  • The discrete PRO-92cW earset mic provides improved clarity in spoken word applications.

Vocalists/Presenters

  • The ATW-T1002 handheld transmitter/mic is available for presenters and performers who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Video Conferencing

  • The ATW-T1006 boundary transmitter/mic is designed for tabletop use, ideal for applications such as video-conferencing where minimum visibility is required.

Conferences/Boardrooms

  • The ATW-T1007 base transmitter can be used with a gooseneck mic on a table for situations where wired mics are impractical.

Guitarists

  • The AT-GcW guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Audio-Technica ATW-1311 Reviews

Installing Antenna Outdoors for more range

I am as sound engineer, technician, & company owner, the battery life sux, more complaint about this then normal wireless system. I recommend this system if the antennas needs to be relocated at a distance from the sound system. example, I installed (1) ATW-1322 at a pro golf course & needed the mic to speak & be heard 450' from the pro-shop. The answer was to relocate the antenna with cat6 using direct burial cable 300' from the receiver allowing the wireless system to be use anywhere up 500' from the sound system. I mounted the transmitter in it's holder, got a plastic weather poof enclosure from Amazon, drilled two holes at the end for the antennas to hang out, dress the antennas with a rubber toggle switch cover (with the end cut out) to protect the antenna connection from the weather, mounted the antenna unit in the box, ran the cat6 cable to the box, install gasket seal & cover on the antennas (only 1-unit) is mounted on a pole 16' from the ground with a 400' away from the sound system, 200' from the outdoor antenna..I have 500' walking range.. I only use this system when I need extended antennas... Battery life is OK ... ihave use up to 8-units at one time, connected together to use all antenna for all wireless mics, incredible, we overlook the battery issue for the range at the pro golf events...

After spend sometime study on this AT series, I met great manufacture representatives at 2016 AES in LA ... they are PRO!; I got all informations from techinical, installation till functionality for different variety capsules this system can run with. I finally pick up from MuzeekWorld and installed 10 units on 2 HH, 2 Bounderies, 3 Choir, 3 shoot gun. During the installation Tech support been contacted twice > fast and prompt response, they show their eagerness to help!! thanks team. Now after about 8 months they are on duty daily at a medium size Catholic church in San Francisco

just got a 1322 system 10 pro just in time for last Fridays gig , setup is super easy and works just like the system 10 stomp boxes my band uses for guitar bass mandolin and banjo and does not bother the older Freeway system we already have . (ya we are your poster children) opened the box when I got to the venue and plugged everything in , put batteries in the in the mic's selected two unused system id numbers and we were ready for sound check . we did wind up backing off the gain inside the mic's because they were a little hot to begin with and we couldn't get any head room on the board . so during our first set break we opened up the mic's and turned them down with the provided plastic screwdriver (A. T. thought of everything) and proceeded to have a flawless weekend . I highly recommend the system 10 pro 1322 and will soon be upgrading the two freeway mic's (4 years old , nearly 200 dates and still working great) to another one of these .

Better range than camera mount portable unit

The factory description does a good job of explaining the product, so I will not repeat the basics. The main advantage of the rack system is that the receiver electronics are better, so that overall operating range is nearly double that of the camera mount units. The ability to remote the receiver/antenna modules via a CAT 6 Ethernet cable is very useful. Personally, I mount the receiver modules onto a non-metallic (painters) pole 15 feet above my soundcart so that they have better line of sight. I like having XLR outputs and the professionalism of the rack unit.

This is the product I've been waiting for.

Great rack mount feature allows me to have 6 at the ready. (A.T. Says I'm good for up to 10.) great sound quality. One drawback is that I wish I could swap the capsules to benefit from the frequency response of other A.T. Microphone designs. Stil, this gets it done quite handily. Thanks guys!

An Good Alternative to the TV Bands!

By TW Hartman

Full Disclosure - I was given this product for testing and review. First of all, I'm a AV systems designer, installer and company owner. I saw the new system two years ago at Denver AVX and expressed my doubts about it's capabilities to the company rep. Turns out he was the VP of Engineering for AT! He sent me a test unit and I sent him back some real world test data. First of all, I was sure that this would have problems and so I set it up to fail. For my first test, I did not remotely mount the RX units. Also I parked it in a sound booth with an active consumer grade WiFi router/access point. I ran two channels for the entire service multiple times, at a range of 60-80 ft. with a clear line of sight and the RF was rock solid. No dropouts, no problems. I was, quite frankly, amazed. I've lived with this unit now for two years, used it for outdoor events, vacation Bible school at my church, two Christmas productions for drama and backup mics and it has never had an issue. I only have a couple minor complaints. The handheld mic does have some handling noise, so that could be improved and once when I blew a circuit breaker at an outdoor event (hey, it happens) I had to re-sync the handheld to the transmitter before the system would work again. I definitely recommend using rechargeable AA's since they use batteries faster than analog systems. However, this is to be expected considering the amount of active RF management built into these units and the fact that they are constantly encoding and sending dual streams of digital audio. In my book, this system is an excellent alternative for the TV bands! Recommended.

Can the receiver packs use rechargeable NiCd or even Lithium batteries. If so is there a charging cradle?
Asked by: Stan
No, the Audio-Technica ATW-T1001 System 10 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitters for the Audio-Technica ATW-1311 System 10 PRO Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Bodypack Microphone System use two standard AA batteries, which can be single-use alkaline or lithium. Rechargeable NiMH batteries can also be used, but cannot be recharged while inside of the transmitters. NiMH batteries must be charged in a separate charger.
