Failed. 3rd battery that failed. This one never charged once
I am so disheartened. I had two B2 batteries that wouldn't charge. Even though I had only used them once. So I bought another and tried charging it. Nothing. I even used different chargers to trouble shoot. Still no charge. $200 down the drain.
Amazing Battery!
This battery along with the Profoto B2 Kit is a great addition to anyone’s camera gear! Have done two shoots with this kit and the batteries hold up great. They recharge within 45 minutes and last for a very long time. I have 3 batteries total and have only had to use two on a full 10 hour shoot.
Fast service . Great product
I recently bought this battery and I have been using this for about a week . I’m very satisfied It has never let me down . I would highly recommend dot for photo shooting in outodoors situations . You will be suprised . Really fast service . Keep it up !!!
Battery failure
I have the same problem as a lot of people sad. There is a problem if your battery cells are not in balance with same voltages. Batterypack has 4 cells with 3.8V 2500mAh and if one of them is not same voltage as other cells than recharging control unit is measuring all the cells individually and regreting to charge all the cells due to ( possible ) Li-Ion battery recharging safety rules. I can suggest you to replace only 4 cells, not replace all the batterypack. 4 Cells will be cost less than 40$
Batteries Stink
I have 3 batteries and all 3 have failed right after warranty. I regret buying the B2
Wow--in a bad way
I expect more from Profoto. I ordered a spare battery, received it in great time, but it would not charge. (Tried different outlets, actually have two different chargers, etc.) Immediately ordered another one and again, upon receipt, it would also not charge. Contacted Profoto and they were not helpful. Both batteries have been returned and am now questioning my investment in Profoto. I do have two other batteries that have done fine. Just wanted another one as I was using multiple lights for a prolonged time. In the end, I was able to plug in the power packs alternately with a very long extension cord when battery power ran low. Still, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of reliability of this battery.
Does The Job
With the Profoto B2 250 being discontinued (sadly), it is concerning that these batteries may disappear as well. The last wait for them to be back in stock was lengthy, though B&H did an awesome job on keeping me updated. They're very expensive, with no other options, so I hope Profoto respects the B2 owners and continues to supply the batteries.
Fail Fail Fail
I'm 3 failed batteries into my experience with the B2. Profoto really do need to step up, admit they have a very serious quality problem and explain how they are going to make it right to loyal users.
