This 2' diameter Profoto OCF Softbox is part of the Off Camera Flash accessory system intended for the B1s and B10s OCF flash heads. Ideal for portraiture, the octagonal shape and large surface area of this softbox renders a signature wrap-around quality of light, especially when used in close quarters. Light weight and speed are evident throughout its construction. The fixed front diffuser saves on setup time, as do the color-coded support rods that mount quickly to the separately-purchased, patent-pending speed ring. An optional fabric grid is available to narrow the softbox's beam and add directional control.

    same light same result as with another software of any other brand and at an excessive price Difficult to assemble for the size and you have to buy separately Profoto Speedring for OCF Flash Heads

    Poor Design, Impossible to Assemble.

    Junk. Impossible to Assemble. Very Cheap Plastic. Have on 3 occasions since buying spent more than 30 minutes trying to assemble. Impossible. There is no click like they show in the videos, I can get all of the rods loosely inserted, but they just fall out. Aggressively bending the rods to basically 90-degrees, I can get 5 rods in, then it's so tight that its truly not possible to do more. Very deceived. Plastic is cheap and falls off rings when you're on your knees fighting the rods to be inserted. Avoid. Should have gone with Broncolor all the way.

    I am bias but profoto is the best in the industry especially with their mods. Yes its expensive but its worth the investment especially for creating nice light!

    As always, Profoto gets things right. This is easy to use, set-up, tear down. Number one down fall, be careful with this one. Its not build in the same indestructible manner as they other soft boxes!

    On one hand the light quality is superb as you come to expect from Profoto. On the other, the craftsmanship is not there. After a few usages, the rods started perforating the end canvas of the Octa Softbox and you end up with gaffer tape or duct tape to try to hold together, until eventually it is gone. If you leave it assembled for a few days in order not to assemble-dissasemble at the end of each day, the rods will bend and remain curved. At this price, I believe they should change this. I've been a Profoto user since 2014 and never had a problem with anything before and I still have and use my softboxes, umbrellas, from my initial purchase.
