The ZED Power 1000 from Allen & Heath is a portable 1000-watt powered mixer with eight XLR mic/line inputs, and it has 3-band British EQs on each mono input with a 9-band graphic EQ on the amplifier outputs. It can be used in various environments for sound re-enforcement applications such as gigging musicians, schools, conference centers, public address systems, rental companies, and more.

The ZED Power 1000 is built tuff to ensure a long life with its touring grade build quality. All input channels are on individual vertical circuit boards and all rotary controls are secured to the front panel with a steel nut to guard against impact damage.

The output on the ZED Power 1000 can be set to feed L+R speakers, or Mono LR + Foldback, or Mono LR + Sub. The ZED Power 1000 has a built-in, 2-channel, high-power class D amplifier, coupled to a super-reliable linear power supply. This provides the best of both worlds, such as the cool running efficiency of a class D amplifier and the peak headroom of a toroidal power supply, which has the ability to cope with high-demand surges.

The ZED powered mixer is simple, efficient, and portable. The mixer weighs in at a modest 24 lbs and has a secure carry handle built into the chassis, making it easy to take the mixer into the most challenging of venues. In addition, a flexible USB connection allows playback to/from a computer, so capturing a recording of the show or playing walk-in music or backing-tracks from a laptop could not be more convenient.

Finally, two of the mixer's jack inputs can take a normal line level or a low level, high-impedance input from a guitar pickup, so guitars can be plugged straight into the mixer without the need for DI boxes. These inputs have been designed to recreate the sound of a classic tube preamp in a combo or head amp for more definition and warmth.

Professional touches like outputs on XLRs, inserts on the masters, and sweepable mids on the EQs set ZED Power 1000 mixers from others and make it a good choice for your sound re-enforcement needs.

Effects
There are 16 different effects presets in the ZED effects processor. Each is fed with a mono signal from the FX bus, and the output from the effects processor is in stereo
