Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F

BH #SI2414DGN • MFR #401-306
Print
Key Features
  • F Mount Lens/FX Format
  • Aperture Range: f/1.4 to f/16
  • FLD and Special Low Dispersion Elements
  • Two Aspherical Glass Elements
A wide and fast Nikon F-mount prime, the 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Lens is a member of the highly regarded Art line of Sigma's Global Vision Series and is characterized by its advanced optical construction and robust physical design. The combination of three "F" Low Dispersion (FLD) elements and four Special Low Dispersion elements help to achieve a marked reduction in chromatic aberrations, while a pair of aspherical elements, with one positioned in the rear of the lens, minimize a variety of additional distortions and aberrations. The 15-element-in-11-group optical design is poised to deliver consistent peripheral brightness and sharpness, even when working at the bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. A Super Multi Coating has been applied to lens elements, too, to reduce flare and ghosting for higher contrast and color fidelity.

question

Does the 24mm in Nikon mount now come with a weather seal?
Asked by: Tom K.
No, I defer to the answer given by Fred at Sigma customer support. He is correct, and highly knowledgeable. That is his job. He is also a professional photographer. Sigma 28mm, 40mm, and 105mm are the only weather sealed Sigma PRIME Art lenses. The Sigma Art 70-200 2.8 ZOOM LENS is also weather sealed. My source? Fred at Sigma USA customer support. I own 2 of these 4 lenses. I am about to buy a 3rd of these 4 Sigma Art lenses @ B&H. They are weather sealed.

Does the lense works with a metabones speed ...

Does the lense works with a metabones speed booster with GH5? the autofocus? the aperture control?
Asked by: eytan
The Metabones Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x Adapter for Nikon G Lens to Micro Four Thirds-Mount Camera, B&H # MESPNFGM43B3, would be the correct speed booster designed to connect the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F to a Micro Four Thirds camera. However, do note that no electronic information transferred from the lens to the camera. As such, the lens will not autofocus or allow you to adjust the aperture using the control dial on the camera. You will have to adjust the aperture manually using the aperture ring built onto the Metabones speed booster lens adapter.
