Nikon S3700 reviews

COOLPIX S3700 Digital Camera (Silver) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Little Camera This is a nice little camera to keep in your pocket or on your belt so you are always ready to capture that shot that would otherwise get away. It offers a number of different scene modes so if you opt for that type of shooting you are good to go. I simply keep it on auto pilot as I am not looking for more than the ability to capture a shot I might miss without it. Don't look for aperture mode or shutter mode. Not there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features at a reasonable price This is a nice sleek camera. Its a really great point and shoot camera with reasonable features and an affordable price. It also provides image stabilization. For a camera in this price range it surely has a lot to offer

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Coolpix S3700 I would NOT recommend this camera to a first time buyer. The manual is less than helpful. Perhaps NIKON assumes folks don't need a lot of info these days, but at least one icon appeared on the screen which I could not easily find an explanation for. (Turns out, it indicates when one is taking photos away from home location, and is a tiny airplane in lower left of shooting screen.!) As is usual with Nikon products, the photos are remarkable, and not sure one actually needs 20MP, but they are excellent. I own many nikon cameras and chose this one for quick shots on vacation, rather than lug a huge DSLR. It does the job with the usual caveat that the screen is hard to see in bright daylight. For someone who understands Nikon cameras, and how to navigate the menus, it might be a good purchase, certainly the price is reasonable. The option to wirelessly transfer photos to a smart phone is nifty. Seems redundant until one realizes that the photo you are transferring is a HUGE size file which can then be emailed. An interesting feature!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor focusing performance I returned this because it took a very long time to acquire focus. It would not work well for moving subjects, like kids or animals. I have had a Canon of similar size and value, and it focuses right away. I don't recommend the Coolpix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was a canon man - switched this time Happy so far! my canons I used to keep in my front pocket but the last one got lent behind the lens sent it back they honored the warranty even though it was like a month over - got a case to keep it on my belt - but then the screen went out and these new ones have no view finder! the Nikon coolpix has fewer options than the canon but quality results with little fuss - the movie mode is full HD and there is no stereo sound - but really no big thing - the coolpix has a very wide angle lens which is great for shooting friend together having a good time!!! I don't know why so many tout zoom X???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my third Nikon Coolpix, I've never been disapointed I carried them on my bicycle to take nature and sunrise pictures. They work great for a point and shoot! I have dropped them and had them bounce down the asphalt and keep on working great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great zoom capability Very crisp photos and great zoom capability for such a small package. Bought for an exted trip in the UK and it fits nicely in a pocket so will be leaving my larger Nikon at home

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera! Bought this to photograph million-dollar inventory in my aircraft dealership. A side-by-side comparison with our $ + DSLR showed image quality virtually indistinguishable from the expensive camera.
