Nikon S3700 reviews

COOLPIX S3700 Digital Camera (Pink) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from small and flashy but out of focus small and flashy red, but:. charge the battery in camera only!! pretty expensive charger as one its only $ on @!!. non standard connector. original size wireless transfer works only for one photo at a time. no wireless transfer for videos. no wireless app for windows. but the worst is that most of the time, in low light and/or flash, autofocus is completely off (even if the focus square indicator is green!!). all pics are a blur, writeoff. i tried all combinations of af-area/autofocus modes to no avail. maybe i've got a lemon!!i was expecting more. i give it a 1 out of 10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Little Camera This is a nice little camera to keep in your pocket or on your belt so you are always ready to capture that shot that would otherwise get away. It offers a number of different scene modes so if you opt for that type of shooting you are good to go. I simply keep it on auto pilot as I am not looking for more than the ability to capture a shot I might miss without it. Don't look for aperture mode or shutter mode. Not there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features at a reasonable price This is a nice sleek camera. Its a really great point and shoot camera with reasonable features and an affordable price. It also provides image stabilization. For a camera in this price range it surely has a lot to offer

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Coolpix S3700 I would NOT recommend this camera to a first time buyer. The manual is less than helpful. Perhaps NIKON assumes folks don't need a lot of info these days, but at least one icon appeared on the screen which I could not easily find an explanation for. (Turns out, it indicates when one is taking photos away from home location, and is a tiny airplane in lower left of shooting screen.!) As is usual with Nikon products, the photos are remarkable, and not sure one actually needs 20MP, but they are excellent. I own many nikon cameras and chose this one for quick shots on vacation, rather than lug a huge DSLR. It does the job with the usual caveat that the screen is hard to see in bright daylight. For someone who understands Nikon cameras, and how to navigate the menus, it might be a good purchase, certainly the price is reasonable. The option to wirelessly transfer photos to a smart phone is nifty. Seems redundant until one realizes that the photo you are transferring is a HUGE size file which can then be emailed. An interesting feature!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wifi camera! This is a nice camera! I had the Nikon Coolpix 3100, but it got damaged. This is a bigger upgrade for me with more megapixels, built in wifi, and more features. I especially like the wifi because I can automatically upload picture to my iPhone without having to connect to a computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool Gadget Camera is easy to use even for the older people but did not compromise technology and advancement. Precise and wonderful pictures produced. Camera is sleek and handy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor focusing performance I returned this because it took a very long time to acquire focus. It would not work well for moving subjects, like kids or animals. I have had a Canon of similar size and value, and it focuses right away. I don't recommend the Coolpix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from COOLPIX S3700 Digital Camera I rated this only 4 stars since I'm still getting familiar with it. IF possible I'd give it 4.5 stars though at this point. This was for my wife who is technically challenged. She is having no problem learning how to use it and take good shots. As a more experienced photographer, the camera takes quite good pictures for a point and shoot camera. For a camera in its price range, I think it is quite good, user friendly that takes good quality pictures. My only negative would be the booklet that comes with it. IT is really fine print and yo really need to access the manual on-line to be able to read it.
