With a 38x optical zoom lens, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC, and a compact design, the red Nikon COOLPIX L840 Digital Camera will allow you to quickly and easily take high quality photos and share them with the world. At the center of the L840 is a 16-megapixel 1/2.3" CMOS image sensor which can produce quality high resolution photos as well as full HD 1080p video. Combine this with the NIKKOR 4-152mm f/3-6.5 38x optical zoom ED VR lens and you will have a powerful, versatile setup. The lens provides an impressive equivalent focal length of 22.5-855mm along with Vibration Reduction image stabilization that will ensure steady imagery, even when using the 76x Dynamic Fine Zoom setting to effectively double your focal length.

Handling of the long zoom camera is improved with a sturdy grip and multiple tactile controls, including a Snap-Back Zoom button. This feature allows you to quickly zoom out to find your subject and then immediately zoom back in with the release of the button. On the back of the camera you will find a 3.0" 921k-dot tilting LCD monitor which will assist with composition and image review during shooting. The tilting nature of the screen even allows for easily shooting low- and high-angle photographs.

Full HD 1080p video recording is possible at up to 30 fps with stereo sound via the built-in microphone. This can easily be shared by plugging the camera directly into an HDTV with the use of an optional cable. Other capabilities include ISOs up to 6400 and continuous shooting at up to 7.4 fps. For simple operation and control this camera has a Scene Auto Selector that will analyze the scene and optimizes the settings for each shot. Additionally, the L840 is compatible with Nikon's snapbridge system, enabling quick sharing of your photos by connecting to a mobile device.
