Antec BIAS LIGHTING overview

  • 1Description

The soundscience HDTV Bias Lighting from Antec makes it easy to outfit your home theater with professional backlighting. Bias Lighting is an illumination technique for reducing eye fatigue and increasing perceived image clarity during long gaming sessions and extended periods of computer use. The HDTV Bias Lighting adds a subtle white backlight to your HDTV, reducing the eyestrain caused by differences in picture brightness from scene changes in movies, TV shows and video games. The color and brightness of the LEDs are carefully calibrated to achieve the optimal viewing experience. Bias Lighting also increases your HDTV's perceived contrast ratio, and makes blacks blacker and colors vibrant. Attach the LED strip to the back of your HDTV, insert the USB plug into an open USB port on your HDTV or USB-powered hub, and turn it on with its convenient on/off switch. The Bias Lighting complements any HDTV up to 60" in size.

    Antec BIAS LIGHTING reviews

soundscience HDTV Bias Lighting is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Might look elsewhere First of all, I think of B&H as a professional source for high quality items. This strip was meant to be used on the back of a monitor to help reduce eye strain for photo-editing. It mounts by 3M tape, but if mounted high, the end with chord attached will fall over time (mine did in first week). It is not particularly bright, will need to be used in a very dark room for daytime benefit. It is most helpful at night, but truly you should buy 3-4 of these for an optimal effect. I wish it were able to power on by the PC so you didnt have to find the chord, follow it down to the switch, then flip it on. It does work, albeit not overly bright or sticky. Summary -Buy more than one -Will need extra tape -Consider hooking all up to external usb that can control them all (instead of powering on/off individually)
