Leupold 120322 overview

  • 1Description

Outfitted with a strong crenelated objective bezel for protecting the front lens and a novel bent optical path design for adapting an extra red dot sight, the matte black 6x20 D-EVO Prismatic Riflescope from Leupold offers shooters a dual aiming capability. While its own 6x magnification helps you with distance target acquisitions, the optional 1x red dot sight that can be paired-up with this scope provides a tactical advantage for close quarter combat encounters. To make full use of this scope's dual viewing capability, you can attach an optional Leupold Carbine Optic (LCO), a 1x red dot sight that is specifically designed for this purpose, or other select red dot sights. The riflescope can help you compensate for ballistic bullet drop and wind deflection. It offers 14.5 mil windage and elevation adjustment range and its 0.1 mil impact point correction.

For added precision while you aim, the scope features a Close Mid-Range Reticle with Wind Holds (CMR-W). At 600 yards, the 0.5 MOA dot and surrounded it a 5 MOA circle provide a 3" aiming center dot and a 30" ring to encircle your target.

The matte black housing is crafted from lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. It makes the scope waterproof, submersible to 66', and a fogproof device. For mounting an extra optic, the riflescope features a bent optical path and zigzagging body construction with the scope's objective protruding to the right side of your gun. This configuration utilizes less Picatinny rail space so that you can attach a second sight in front of this riflescope.

    Leupold 120322 reviews

    6x20 D-EVO Prismatic Riflescope (CMR-W Reticle) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Suggestions for Product Development Since there is no question and answer section like there is for the LCO, I want to query and make suggestions for my application which I think many others will be interested in for the P90/PS90 and for other applications in hunting both big game and small game. Since the PS90 has an effective range to 200 meters, PS90 users would benefits from lower power and another reticle. Will the D-EVO be offered in lower magnifications? Such as 4x or another power in the range of 2-2.3-3x? Might the future versions of the D-EVO be a variable? I like the 1.5-5x and the 2-7x for hunting. Thank you in Advance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the set up I have purchased the D-EVO in conjunction with the LCO a couple days ago, I'm glued to these optics and can't wait to go hunting with it. The clarity with the D-EVO is very crisp and pairs extremely well with the LCO. The only thing I wish that D-EVO could do is illuminate slightly because my eyes take a while to adjust. My experience while engaging targets on the move and in a stationary position works organically without having to cant the weapon at all. I have used Trijicon and Eotech and nothing compares, If only I had these optics while in country it would have been a great piece of gear to have. You pay for what you get and you definitely will be pleased by Leopold Thanks and SEMPER FI

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evolutionary Scope During a recent Leupold Optics Academy roadshow trip to Africa I was lucky enough to make use of the DEVO. The AR type platforms are not commonplace here. The DEVO was fitted to a CZ Bren 223. The red dot top sight and the 6x20mm D-EVO were a magic pairing. Both were zeroed to 200m. Once the eyerelief position was sorted a simple 6degree shift of the eye while holding the cheek weld allowed one to engages through either "scope". I managed the 100m with the red dot and the 200m with the 6x20. This going to be the best scope to engage pack Problem Animals (varmint) like Jackal coming in from all angles and at various distances without have to reset each time. Thanks to Michael Baccellieri and Jon Slack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patrol Rifle I put the DEVO / LCO combo on my patrol rifle about a year ago. I've grown to love it. For a backup sighting system I put a Crimson Trace laser grip / light on it. Super fast with the laser, gets me to the LCO and then for accuracy the DEVO x6 is right there. Only fits in our vertical rifle racks. As I get older that 6x becomes even more important to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a good start. But it has no provisions to be compatible with back-up or transition sights. It does not come with a QD mount.Nor is it compatible with weapon mounted night vision.Until these issues are addressed in a up dated version I'll stick with the Elcan Spectre Dr in 4x and 6x for Carbine applications.
