On one charge, the Ominus FPV can remain in the air for up to 12 minutes, and its 2.4 GHz radio system boasts a range of up to 328' (depending on conditions). question

Are you able to remove the camera and fly the drone without it?
Asked by: Anonymous
Was able to detach the camera. However, I do not recommend detaching it as the jack was difficult to remove. Perhaps it isn't supposed to be removed because then the camera may not work on replacement although mine worked. Hope this helps.

question

Are the motors brushless?
Asked by: Anonymous
The motors are NOT brushless, and they WILL burn out. However, they are very cheap and easy to replace. Buy several replacements - you need two that rotate clockwise and two that rotate counterclockwise. Also buy several replacement props and extra batteries. You will definitely break a lot of props and a single battery only gives you about 8-10 minutes on a charge (like most LIPO powered multirotors. Be sure to get the props and batteries for the Ominus FPV - they are not the same as the non FPV version. The props are larger and the batteries have a higher discharge rate (more punch to swing the larger props and handle the camera weight). My big issue is the camera. Worked great for about a month and then, suddenly, video and FPV started to look like it was taken from a FLIR camera (i.e., thermal images). Unfortunately the camera is the only expensive part to replace; around $90 - $100. All that said, it is a great quad to learn on. Also, the FPV system is WIFI which means you will have latency issues. Not a big deal if flying in open spaces, but totally impractical for proximity flying.

question

Can you use the original ominus quadcopter and buy the wifi camera fpv and the Q200 remote, and the camera holder and Phone holder to the remote. And the micro ship. And use the original ominus quadcopter as the fpv ominus quadcopter?
Asked by: Caleb M.
The Dromida Ominus comes fully assembled so the parts are not for individual sale.
