    Crucial CT51264BF186DJ reviews

    4GB 204-Pin SODIMM DDR3 PC3-14900 1866 MT/s Memory Module is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mismatched speeds Bought this RAM to add to a 27 iMac I bought at the same time. Very easy to install, but I kept getting kernel panics. After much consternation (a brand new computer that wouldn't work reliably) and thinking I had purchased a lemon I went back to old Mac knowledge. I discovered the new modules were clocked at 1866 MHz and the ones in the computer were 1867. A very slight mismatch, but a mismatch. The ones in the computer came in slots one and three. Once I moved them to slots one and two and installed the Crucials in slots three and four, everything worked fine. Nothing on Crucial's website or Apple's pointed out this potential problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One of them didn't work I bought the two 4gb version. I took out the old rams and put the new ones. Only one of them worked. I pulled them again changed the place. Again, only one of them worked. Then, I took one out and tried again to find the working one. Finally, I found the working one. I put one of the old versions and put one of the working ones. So far I didn't have any problem with the working one. The computer is definitely faster. I wish both of would work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, easy to install My laptop only has the capacity for 8 GB of RAM. I previously had 6. I wasn't sure the extra 2 GB would make much difference, but it has definitely helped, especially since I usually have multiple applications open that I switch between. The wait time is less and it operates more smoothly. For a minimal investment, I can put off replacing my laptop with a newer model. Installation was extremely easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Like a Champ I wanted to upgrade my laptop from 8GB to 16GB. Crucial's selection tool made it easy to order the correct memory. Getting the modules seated properly in those tiny sockets was a little tricky, but it didn't take too long. After installation, I used Windows Task Manager and confirmed that my memory-hog applications are now using the extra memory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works, easy to do These modules are a lower-cost option to get my new replacement iMac up to 16GB. They meet Apple's specification and are easy to install. I chose this option because I upgraded my old iMac over seven years ago with Crucial modules without any problems. I expect these modules to work properly for the life of the iMac.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! The memory is great, but I was unaware that I would be required to upgrade to the 64-bit version of my operating system in order to make use of it. Ultimately that's not a Crucial issue, but it could be a stumbling block to other users. It would be nice to have a warning about this in the product-finder or the description.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works without issue Works good, easy to install in Late 2015 27 iMac, in fact, it was harder to get out of the package than it was to install in the computer! The memory is recognized perfectly by the iMac and is working alongside the 8GB that came with the computer without issue.I just wish B&H would have had the 32GB kit when I ordered.
