Now with the capability to support 4K resolution video, KanexPro's HDBaseT HDMI Extender can extend an HDMI signal over twisted pair cabling over distances up to 330 feet. While increasing the carrying distance, HDBaseT technology doesn't alter the HDMI signal so HDCP and EDID information are passed through. HDBaseT can also carry bi-directional infrared (IR) signals between the transmitter and receiver for device control as well as Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) so only one power supply is required to power both the transmitter and receiver. Because HDBaseT only requires cost-efficient standard category twisted-pair cables (Cat 5e/6), integration is simplified since many buildings are already wired with compatible cabling.

Worked at first and then they failed

We purchased three sets for church. Two have now fail badly. In both cases the video was fine at first then after a few months on intermitted use the picture began to flash rapidly making them unusable. All three units get very hot to the touch even when they are working correct;y.

We installed this for a 125' 1080p run. We used cat5e cable. It did not work. Could not get a signal at all. I contacted Kanexpro and asked what cable types should be used, they never responded. Returned it to b&h no questions asked of course. Im sure its a good unit maybe I received a bad one. It has very good reviews but I was disappointed with Kanexpro's customer service. I purchased a Kramer unit.

This is the best solution within a reasonable price. The POE feature is very helpful. I was able to connect a battery powered video camera just by powering the receiver, no power supply for the transmitter near the camera. I used a 250 feet cable an the signal was perfect. I even added a 50 feet HDMI cable between the camera and the transmitter with very good results.The transmitter runs cold, just the receiver gets a bit warm regardless if the power is apply to the receiver or transmitter. Definitely I will buy another set if my project requires this setup.

I've only used it once so far but it worked like a charm. I would give it five stars, but I think I need to use it a couple more times to be able to rate it as such.

I am running a 1080p signal three hundred feet using CAT5- this product works great. This item was previously call The Longrunner for that reason. Another similar product did not work.

i purchased a few of them. but after a couple of months usage, none of them works now. they are cheaper than more well known brands, but basically you get what you pay. I would NEVER recommend this.

HDMI 2.0 means support for 4K and by DCP I presume you mean HDCP. This KanexPro HDBaseT HDMI Extender supports both protocols. Please see the devices manual. http://bit.ly/1IhuUru

If your soundbar has HDMI input, then yes it will. Make sure you use CAT6 cable. It will not work with CAT5e.

What is the specifications for the IR I and Out ports? Electrical and connectors.

Those specifications are not listed. However this is designed to work with the Kopul Infrared Transmitter and Receiver Kit, BH #KOHDSIRKIT. These are the IR extenders for this product. https://bhpho.to/2YKSpcD

It does not. This can send an HD Signal 100 Meters/330 Feet or a UHD 4K signal 70 Meters/229 Feet.

yes. This package includes a transmitter and receiver. CAT 5/6 I believe is shielded. We have had ZERO issues with this product in perfect environments and in very high RF zones.

Will the power supply work at 220VAC 50 Hz for oversea?

Oddly, I happened to be putting one of my pairs away so I have the power supply in my hand. It's rated for AC100V-240V 50/60Hz with an 0.8A rating (output is DC 24V at 1.0A). Basically like any other black wall-wart switching power supply you've ever used, just with a slightly higher output voltage. I should think you'd be fine for 220/230V locales.

YES. I have used this product with 100% success. This may not matter but we placed the power supply at the SEND end of the signal chain. I have used the more expensive product that also work well. This Kanex product is also a Solid product.
