question

Will the SDI Signal work with the BM UltraStudio Mini Recorder? Cannon G30 HDMI to this Adaptor then SDI into BM Recorder.
Asked by: Nathan
This should work just fine. I use it to convert HDMI out of a computer to an SDI signal which runs to our projector. It simply converts the signal to the different type of signal/connector

question

Does this work with Livestream and Tricaster boxes?
Asked by: Cedric T.
Hello,I havent tryit with any of those you mention but as far as the equipment, what it does is just convert from SDI to HDMI and that is enough for either Tricaster or Livestream. I do tested with Blackmagic ATEM and works perfect. I beleive that it will work fine for your application.

question

Is there any way to power this converter from battery because I use it near the camera and I can't power it from the cam ?
Asked by: LOUAY
This unit will work on any voltage from 5 volt to 12 volt. You may use a 9 volt battery as shown by a previous answer with the proper plug ends. I am using a NexTex 12 volt lithium battery from a NexTex drill. What I did was-- I cut the cord from the power supply that comes with the unit and put on male spade ends. These plug into the battery. MAKE sure you observe the polarity. Use a red spade connector for the Positive, use a blue one or mark with black tape the negative. On the power supply end put on the female spade ends. These can then be connected together so you can use the power supply.Make sure they don't touch. Now you will have a 2 ways to power the unit. Also the Nextex battery can be charged with its own charger. It can be used in the drill since there are no mods to the battery. Now you have a dual purpose battery!
