Store your water bottle on your hip with the black Spider Monkey Water Bottle Holder from Spider Camera Holster. Made of neoprene, the holder will accommodate one standard 20 oz water bottle. A drawstring closure at the top of the holder secures your water bottle in place. Your Spider Monkey includes one holster base which is easily attached to your belt. The base and holder combination are compatible with other Spider gear such as the SpiderPro belt, Black Widow belt, and the Large Lens Pouch. The holder is easily mounted by sliding it into the base, and removed by depressing the release tab on top of the base. For convenience, mounting and removal of the holder are accomplished with the use of just one hand. When thirsty, simply drink from your water bottle while it's inside the holder. One year in and still like it
I bought one of these from a local camera store. I also had one from another popular manufacturer. The stitching tore out of that other brand, but one year of *hard* use and my Spide water holder is still going great. Now I need a new one to replace that other brand. It did take practice before I could easily clip my water. At first I would get my shirt caught in the clip. But now it is instinct... no thought needed at all.
Disappointed
This item came with virtually no instructions. Removing the belt clip from the packaging was difficult. I had to cut, twist, and mangle the cardboard backing to remove it. The belt I had intended to use is too thick to pass through the clip. It is 1/8 thick, certainly not abnormally thick for a belt! If there is a maximum belt thickness, the description should say so. But it only says Attaches to User-Supplied Belt. I will return this item.

Great addition to my belt, I put a 20 oz insulated bottle in it. Life saver at a 14 hr shoot on a 95 degree day. Love the clip and the release so the clip stays on the belt.
A bit tight fitting which I guess is the design idea
This holder is very tight fitting on a small plastic water bottle which I guess it was designed for. I use double walled stainless steel bottles most the time and found just one thin bottle that could barely squeeze in. No chance of a 18oz Yeti or Rtic type bottle fitting. I understand you don't want the bottle falling out but because there is a draw cord top it would have been nice to have it a bit larger diameter. Or a possible larger size option. The clip on belt idea is great and works well making it easy to detach and clip on again. I've used other type bottle holders that you just slip the bottle out of the holder which I think works better for me. Unless you are really rough trail running this very tight fitting holder has less use for myself and limits what type of bottle can be jammed in.
