    Lian Li PC-TU100B reviews

PC-TU100 Mini-ITX/Mini-DTX Mini Tower Chassis (Black) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great small case I purchased 4 of the PC-TU100 cases for office PCs with H97 chipsets and 65 Watt CPUs. The cases are quite compact but provide enough room for reasonable mini-ITX components and great access for assembly. Build quality is superb, the best of the dozen or so case types (Antec, Cooler Master, Silverstone) I've used recently. The fan and HDD mounting with rubber grommets is excellent. Extra screws and other parts are provided. My only quibble is I had to remove about 5 mm from one edge of the ODD brackets so cables for the SSDs mounted on them would clear. No problem, took about a minute with a nibbler. Most users love the lunchbox look, for those who don't the handle is easy to remove. A more conventional looking alternative is the PC-Q21.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nearly Perfect I found this case to be exceptional. The build quality is great, the handle is sturdy, and the amount of space inside us surprising. My only complaint is on the location of the PSU mount. They could have moved it up about 7-10mm. This would allow for a larger CPU cooler. I used an ASRock X99 ITX board, Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3, SilverStone 600watt SFX PSU, Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970 ITX, and was forced to use a 1u Narrow ILM heatsink and I strapped a 80mm PWM fan to it. The dynatron cooler that came with the motherboard was just a bit too tall. Though the fan is 60mm, once you take the contact plate into account you're around 66mm. I ended up running into the PSU with it. Once again, there is plenty of room to move the PSU up, but I didn't feel like modifying the chassis to make it work. Overall, fantastic case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed Wanted to build a portable mini itx gaming PC and this was the case. Very tight for but that's exactly what I wanted, no wasted space, I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great place for a portable gaming system to live This is housing my mini-itx i7 8700 build with 16GB RAM, 512GB PCIe internal SSD, 500GB SATA internal SSD, WD Black 1TB HDD and Geforce GTX 1060 SC low-pro graphics card. There's still room for another 2.5" SSD/HDD and 12.7" slim optical drive. I'm using a low-profile CPU cooler and replaced the 3-pin case fan with a 4-pin 120mm PWM unit. Even playing CPU and GPU demanding games on high settings, everything stays cool: my SFX PSU's on-demand fan rarely, and then only briefly, kicks on. Hefting it by the handle, the whole rig feels under 10 pounds, yet the black anodized brushed aluminum is quite sturdy and looks sharp. My only complaint is that the distance from the USB 3.0 motherboard header to the back of the front panel is about 4 inches, but the attached thick USB cable, which is not easily bent and tucked away, stretches over 2 feet. I was able to stuff the excess cable into the front bottom of the case beneath the case fan. Both sides of the case pop off easily with the press of a lever, giving great access to the inside. I've never built a system in such a small space, previously preferring full-sized towers, but after this experience, I don't think I'll go large again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny, elegant case that Overall this case is a beautiful mini-ITX case that you can pack a pretty wicked system inside. Although it is a few years now, it has some decently modern features like front USB 3.0 and mic/headphone jacks. It's made of blackened aluminum all of it, so magnets will not actually stick to the chassis, has a front mount for a 120 mm fan and it comes with a stock fan and filter. I was able to pack a Z170 motherboard, i7-6700K CPU, and Zotac GTX 1060 Mini into this case, and even an all-in-one liquid cooler (Corsair H55), but only by replacing the stock cooler fan with a slim (15mm) fan instead. There is even a slim, slot-loading 5.25 drive bay which I filled with a Since I was able to get the liquid cooler in there, I plan to overclock it modestly. It was quite awkward to work in the thing because of its small size, and there isn't a ton of room for cables, but you can just stuff the excess cable length into debt airspace because it's an opaque design so the aesthetics of cable management don't matter. However, what you lose in build time you gain in desk space. This thing looks beautiful on my desk, I love the simple, elegant, unobtrusive design that hardly takes away any space at all from my work surface. I also enjoy the aesthetics of the case, because it reminds me of a miniature guitar amp that I had been I was younger. Because of its size and carrying handle, it's super portable if you would ever need to transport it for some reason.
