Devek Artist High-Tack Tape Reviews
mark your hard drives with this easy to see RED.
I use this paper tape to mark hard drives, media cards going to the DIT, or to spike lighting or camera positions, etc.
Strong
Sticks strong without leaving much residue
Good artist tape...removable with no residue
We use most of the 1/2 inch Devek tape colors in the Archive. It is too bad B&H does not carry a 1/4 inch wide roll as well as stock 1/2 inch yellow or orange tape that are special order. The Devek Tape fits a standard 3 inch core tape dispenser. If you get a 2 or 3 inch wide dispenser you can run different color tape on one dispenser. Just stow the ends of the tape you are not using. The tape is also great for making notes on film reels instead of Post-it notes that fall off almost immediately. It is a good artist tape and is removable with no residue. We also use the tape for temporary notes on Hollinger Metal Edge archival boxes. No problem removing the tape, but our use is generally short term. Daniel D.Teoli Jr. Small Gauge Film Archive
Useful in film archive
A good tape for taping down film leaders and attaching tails to the reel without a tail leader. Not the best artist tape on the market, but pretty close to the top end tape. Leaves no residue for short-term work. I like the color options. You can color code reels for silent or sound film, color or B&W. Daniel D.Teoli Jr. Archival Collection
Must-Have for general on set use
This is perfect for tagging media on set, labeling filtration on the matte box, or other general use. I like it better than gaff tape as you can write cleanly on it with a sharpie. It is a must have for any use on set, and it's best to have multiple colors.
Super Solid Tape
Feels better than Pro Console Tape imo. Pretty strong, no residue, very very good writability. Supreme choice for mag tags and filter tags
