    Grado iGe reviews

iGe In-Ear Headphones with Apple Remote is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent headpones I really, really like these. They have great sound and great noise isolation and are very comfortable. Great design and the cable stays pretty tangle free. The plug is narrow so it's easy to use it with the case on my iPhone. It also comes with four pairs (and three kinds) of eartips, so I got a great fit--the best was with the black foam tips, for me. The one thing I had a slight issue was that it's hard to feel which function you are pushing on the inline controller. But once I started using three fingers on it, I found that that kind of keeps you from pushing the wrong button by accident. One piece of advice: ignore the user's manual when it says it's safe to use isopropyl rubbing alcohol on the eartips. It may be safe on the silicone ones, but it's not on the soft foam ones--undiluated isopropyl alcohol eats those up. I would definitely recommend these headphones to friends--I really think they are terrific.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good,Clean, comfortable It's hard to replicate quality sound from a pair of in-ear phones at any price. For it's price and ease of use, the Grado iGe is about as good as you can do. They are loud, but clean with nice separation.Try the variety of earpieces (3 types!!!) that come with them to see which suits your preference. I would not even consider buying anyhing other than Grado for any type of headphone. The entire line is simply the best. This entry does not disappoint. Happy listening...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good so far They have a crisp clean quality sound and pretty good, but not overwhelming bass. Each of the rubber tips have a different sound, so experiment to see which is best for you. They fit very tightly, which is an advantage for the sound, but some people may find uncomfortable. They seem better built than other in-ear headphones I've owned (ALL of which fell apart or stopped working before a year was up, some in much shorter time), but time will tell. These seem to have a slightly thicker cable and strain relief both at the transducer and via the L-shaped mini-phone plug. On most of the non-Apple in ear headphones I've used, the remote didn't work all that well. The volume was fine, but the center button was always tricky, especially a double- or triple-click or a hold to turn on Siri. But these work absolutely fine in this regard. So overall, these are quite good. If they last over a year, I'd give them all five stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite headphones for trail running I've used these several times a week for the last couple years when trail running and have found them to be very sturdy and to stay put once positioned. They have very clean sound, nice bass and the volume control on the cord keeps me from having to fuss with my phone while deep in the woods or on technical terrain. I've run with many higher end earplugs over the years and have had durability issues over time with earbud cords fraying or disconnecting from movement and jostling. The iGe's are a nice balance of quality sound, noise isolation and have a stronger cord connection and more rugged build than most higher end headphones I've tried over the years (e.g. Etymotic ER4-PT, Grado GR8, ACS Custom, Sennheiser Momentum, Bose, etc.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Preferred the Sennheiser Momentum Wasn't happy with the product and returned it for a refund. Happier with the Sennheiser Momentum at the same list price, and lower selling price. The Sennheisers fit better and had a a cleaner and fuller sound with a more extended range. Of course with in-ear phones the fit is critical so every person will have a slightly different experience of the products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grado quality in an affordable in-ear I was looking for a replacement for my etymotic HF3's and went with the Grado's and wasn't disappointed, tighter and more present bottom end than the HF3's. They do take a few days to settle into their sound so don't panic on first listen.
