Shure SE535-CL reviews

SE535 Sound-Isolating Earphones and Music Phone Accessory Cable Kit Clear) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from special I bought these a week after buying the SE315. Strange behaviour eh..... well I have lots of different music making devices and lots of headphones and earphones and travel a lot. I bought the SE315 on a whim and then read reviews about the SE535s....... its true - they are a class above. I was rather nervous about getting them considering I just bought some shures so recently - always wondered about the design but it is one that allows you to sleep with them in if needed..... handy on planes or in noisy hotels etc. I tested both pairs back to back at home with spotify lists of what to test your headphones with.... So - the bad points: it takes a while to get used to using them, with the wire that loops over the ears, the wire seems a bit long and there is no in line control for your iphone etc and no microphone. Good points - all the things you read about soundstage, depth of base, clarity, isolation and easy to walk with and immerse yourself in proper hi fi quality I have a decent Naim separates system with even more expensive speakers, so I do know nice hi fi. The earpieces take time to figure out which work and fit best but once they do.....its immersive. Some have commented tiring to wear but I have worn them for 5 hours straight and issue for me. I have small ear canals and getting something for those is a pain - these do nicely. The wire is kevlar reinforced and detachable - i have always found noise isolating phones better than any noise cancelling ones I have the best that Bose can offer though almost got knocked down on the street by a runaway ambulance have to pay attention more with my eyes lol! I have lost use of several pairs of phones with wires due to the wire breaking for various reasons. I suspect these wont break at all. Overall - for me they are excellent. I can live without the in line remote as its the sound I bought them for not the functions. Recommend
