question

Based on Livers' post. I use the AIR 1 Commander on a Sony A7RII with a Nissin A60i, two Air R receivers for Canon Speedlites 420 EXII and a 580EXII and it works perfectly in a 3 flash multiflash combination. Does it mean I can use Nikon flashes as long as I got Air One receivers for Nikon? Is TTL possible in this multiple flash setup?
Asked by: Harry
I believe TTL is not possible with your Nikon flashes. Did it work for your Canon 420 ex2 and 580 ex2 in TTL mode? I have two 580 exii as well and they dont work in TTL with my fuji XT2 using the nissin air commander. Its manual. The hassle with manual on an event is you need to check power and distance from the subject. Your flash power is relative to the distance of the subject if your using manual flash. I think this goes with Nikon flash since fuji has a different pin configuration as well as Canon flash. It is possible to have multiple flash config but on manual only. Hope i gave a clear answer.

question

Does it work with HVL-F45RM flash?
Asked by: Jinbo F.
Not directly, no. Sony uses its own wireless radio system, which is designed to be compatible with the Sony FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander, B&H # SOFAWRC1M. It is not directly compatible for use with Nissin's radio system. If you wish to use the Sony HVL-F45RM Wireless Radio Flash with the Nissin Air 1 Commander for Sony Cameras with Multi-Interface Shoe, you would have to purchase the Nissin Air R Receiver for Sony Flashes with Multi Interface Shoe, B&H # NINDARSNY, to the bottom of the Sony HVL-F45RM Wireless Radio Flash. This would add Nissin's wireless radio system to the Sony flash for your usage needs.
