question

I'm just starting to learn swift. Would this be a good computer to start out on?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is a good computer if you're just starting out (just learning the swift language or small apps) and doesn't mind an extended compile, running time and time to time hangups especially if you want a super minimal portable laptopIf you want to use it on the long run, I would recommend either the MB air or pro. Pro is better but air has a little more portability. Don't get me wrong I like this laptop (I came from MB air 13 2013). It just not that prime for ios/mac development. If you're doing it on text editors that would work! Just to give you an example, I have more than 50 apps on my device organizers and to open Xcode organizer, I would've to wait a good 12mins-15mins, while Xcode is not responding. Also, there's a little hang up when opening storyboard but just minimal. I listen to youtube while coding in swift, and sometimes there would be hiccups. Sometimes it works just fine.I guess the organizer thing is pretty much an overkill and your situation is different and more mellow. Just stating. So, yeah, if you're just starting it would work out as fine. Positive side: This thing taught me to be minimal and have less opened internet browser tabs. I used to have a lot!

question

How would you say it compares with the 2016 Macbook m3?
Asked by: Manuel R.
I'm sorry I wouldn't know the answer for that. However, I have read that the 2016 version is an incremental upgrade.
