Swarovski 5-25x56 X5i Riflescope (BRM-I+ Modified Duplex Reticle)
Key Features
  • BRM-I+ Modified Duplex Reticle, SFP
  • Illuminated Reticle with 10 Intensities
  • 30mm One-Piece Main-Tube
  • 1/4 MOA Impact Point Correction
Swarovski Optik designed the 5-25x56x50 X5i Riflescope with a wide magnification range and a large, oversized objective to provide shooters a platform to confidently and accurately shoot from the first pre-dawn glow to the day's last ray of sunlight. The X5i employs an array of technologies that can put you on-target at distance, while maintaining the ability to precisely place shorter shots. Its performance begins with Swarovski's iconic proprietary SWAROTOP and SWARODUR anti-reflection coatings. The entire optical path is fully multicoated to maximize light transmission for bright, high-contrast images, especially in low-light conditions. They use multi-rotational turrets with 1/4 MOA impact point correction to precisely put you on-target faster. The windage turret features a 50 MOA adjustment range; while the elevation boasts a broad 82 MOA range for accurate long-range BDC. Finally, a partially-illuminated modified crosshair reticle has 10 intensity levels to ensure easy visibility in all light conditions.

Complementing and protecting the optical performance and technologies is an aluminum alloy housing with a corrosion and scratch-resistant matte-black anodized finish. Its 30mm one-piece main-tube walls have been made thicker than previous housings for additional strength and recoil resistance. The turret and inversion systems have been built with stainless steel components that exert the same pressure on both turrets in any position to ensure maximum accuracy, precision, and repeatability from the heaviest recoiling calibers. The whole system is O-ring sealed and the optical tube is nitrogen-filled, providing fogproof performance in all weather and temperatures, while allowing it to be submerged in water to a depth of 13 feet.

Optical Performance

  • 5-25x zoom magnification
  • 56mm objective lens
  • Anti-reflection fully multicoated optics with proprietary SWAROTOP & SWARODUR coatings create bright, high-contrast images
  • SWAROCLEAN: non-stick coating on the lenses makes it easier to clean away dirt, water marks, insect repellents, or tree resin

Reticle

  • Illuminated BRM-I+ modified duplex crosshair reticle
  • Positioned on the second (rear) focal plane
  • Reticle size remains the same at all magnification
  • Plain outer posts on horizontal and lower vertical axes, with illuminated crosshairs
  • Upper half of the reticle empty for unobstructed views
  • Stadia markings on horizontal, lower vertical axes with a short crosshair on upper axis
  • Runs on one included CR2032 battery with a max runtime of 260 hours

Use and Handling

  • 1/4 MOA per click impact point correction
  • 50 MOA windage and 82 MOA elevation adjustment range
  • Elevation turret has a viewing window to clearly see the revolution
  • Parallax correction from 55 yards to infinity
  • 3.7" long eye relief, -3 to +2 dioptric correction

Construction Details

question

How are the stadia markings on the vertical and horizontal cross hairs of the BRM-1+ retical interpreted?
Asked by: Marcus F.
All reticles on the Swarovski 5-25x56 X5i Riflescope have a different MOA. The reticle you inquired about the BRM - I + I is 2 MOA, so the 5th one would be 10. This is the same for illuminated or non illuminated.
