question

Can this charger power a camera with a 4pin power port(Specifically Ursa Mini 4k)? And does it come with an AC Cable and 4pin power cable to do so? Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the V mount batteries can work. You need a battery plate to use it with the camera. The battery plate is listed below.

Can the DC out be used to power a light with the batteries fully charged and connected? Or does the unit need to be plugged in and free of batteries to operate that way?
Asked by: james
No, the charger can function as a portable AC to DC power adapter, taking the AC power input and outputting 15 VDC at 4A via a 4-pin XLR connector. The output is only active when no batteries are attached.

What voltage output is the D-tap? Regulated or unregulated?

According to Dracast, the D-tap voltage is 12 volts and unregulated. This actually is the usual arrangement for a D-tap across the industry.

question

Does the dracast battery work with a red one
Asked by: Rob T.
If the red one has a V-mount where you can put a battery, then yes, it will work. If the red one does NOT have a V-mount where you can put a battery, then this MIGHT not work. However, if there is an optional power connection on the red one, and if it matches the connector barrel on our D-Tap cable, then you MIGHT be able to use this battery with the red one. (whatever you mean by red one ). // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

Will a v-mount battery on this charger power a different brand light, specifically an Aputure LED light (Amaran 200D) via XLR cable? Looking to power in remote location, no AC plugs.
Asked by: James
The charger in that kit is Dracast DR-CH2V Dual V-Mount Battery Charger. It is made to charge batteries. With batteries in the charger it does not plug into any light. But it can charge different V mount batteries.

question

Will this Dracast v-mount battery work with the Sony FS7 XDCA?
Asked by: Jim O.
Hi Jim. The XDCA employs a V-mount so you can use any V-Mount battery. However, this particular battery has a rubber finish on the housing which makes if very difficult to attach and remove from the camera. I'm using it on an F55 and it requires more force than I'm comfortable to attach. I'd highly recommend sticking with IDX batteries. Very well made and they fit perfectly. The IDX DUO-C95 is on sale right now for $235 and it's 95W.Cheers.
