The 3511ES Stereo Kit from DPA features two compact 4011ES cardioid microphones with active side cables, which have been factory-matched within ±1 dB for frequency response and sensitivity in the microphone's entire frequency bandwidth. The kit can be used to capture audio for close-up applications such as acoustic guitars, grand pianos, overheads, percussion, wind instruments, vocals, spot-miking symphonies, and more.
The 4011ES cardioid microphone can handle very high sound levels. The flat on-axis frequency response delivers a faithful reproduction of the original sound, and the off-axis response is also smooth. Meant to be mounted in a piano frame (or any other magnetic surface), the DPA GM1500 Gooseneck Mount is a combination of magnet mount gooseneck and shock mount. Both omni-directional and directional microphones that are compact as well as larger fit this line. Based on the Rycote Lyre suspension system, almost any microphone can be used simply by adding another Lyre rubber piece. The shock mount is extremely flexible, the holders can be mounted facing both upside and downside and the poles can be adjusted by pushing them back and forth.
