The Celestron CM1000C Cordless Monocular Microscope and Digital Imager Kit from B&H includes a cordless scientific microscope with a monocular viewing and a digital imager. The kit serves as a versatile tool for enthusiasts' explorations or professional research and allows not only witnessing discoveries but also documenting them in exciting images and videos for your reports, papers, and presentations with the included digital imager.
The CB2000C Cordless Monocular Microscope offers a 45°-inclined ocular for viewing or connecting a digital imager or a camera. With a rotating head you can observe your slides from any positions around the microscope and share views with your colleagues and lab-mates. You have a choice of three objectives on a rotating nose piece and whether to power your microscope from the wall outlet or the included three AA batteries. With two included eyepieces, a 10x and a 25x, the magnification spans a range from 40x to 1000x and enables you to study a multitude of samples ranging from insects, plants, and electronic devices to sections of tissues or cellular structures. When it comes to obtaining optimal image sharpness, the quality of optics is not enough. To help you obtain crisp images, this instrument is equipped with both a coarse and fine coaxial focusing and a 3.5x3.5" stage with two spring-loaded clips for holding your specimens. When they designed the illumination system, Celestron did not cut corners and provided bright LED illumination with a dimmer and a 0.65 NA Abbe condenser, an iris diaphragm with six apertures of different sizes for controlling a cone of light. To add stability and precision to opto-mechanics, the body and the stage are made of metal. Also included with the microscope are ten prepared slides, a dust cover, and an Allen wrench.
To empower you with the capability of recording digital videos or capturing digital images while you are making your observations, this kit also includes the Celestron Digital Microscope Imager with a 2MP CMOS sensor. The imager replaces the microscope's eyepiece and works with eyepiece tubes from 23 mm to 30 mm in diameter. To record and save your data, plug it into your PC or Mac via an attached cable with a USB 2.0 connector. The imager comes with optional image capturing software, the Digital Microscope Suite 2.0 for Windows, but the sensor itself works equally well with both Windows XP and Mac OS 10.4.9 operating systems or later versions.
Celestron Lab's CM1000C Cordless Monocular Microscope is ideally suited for the classroom and lab environments with its 360° rotating head for easy sharing, an eyepiece set at a comfortable 45° angle, and broad magnification range. Its three-position turret holds the 4x, 10x, and 40x objectives and the instrument comes with two eyepieces that produce magnifications from a practical 40x to a powerful 1000x.
The 3.5 x 3.5" stage has metal slide/specimen clips, and an adjustable-intensity halogen bulb under the stage provides the necessary illumination. It is powered by either a US 110 VAC plug or three included AA batteries for use in the field. The manually adjustable iris and condenser ensures the perfect amount of light and beam spread to illuminate the specimen without washing it out. Use the dual coarse/fine coaxial focus knobs to bring all specimens into sharp, clear focus.

Celestron Digital Microscope Imager
The Digital Microscope Imager from Celestron allows microscope users to view and capture images and video. Viewing any microscope's high-magnification images on a computer screen is comfortable for a single person and small groups.
The DMI replaces the microscope's eyepiece with the aid of a small coupling device. Once it is in position, connecting the USB cable allows images to be viewed on the computer's screen. The DMI is designed to work with most microscopes, and the package includes an image-capture software program.
Compatible with most microscopes
2 MP sensor, built-in USB 2.0 cable
Digital Imager replaces microscope's eyepiece
Enables viewing and capturing snapshot images/video with a computer
UVC plug and play driver - CD-ROM contains software for viewing and image capture. Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7
The included software package is a Windows-only application. However, the device itself is compatible with MAC OS 10.4.9 and later/newer versions. To use the DMI with a MAC a 3rd party photo-capture software program is necessary.
