Utilizing a multi-layer coating process for consistent color rendition from lens to lens, the Rokinon 100mm T3.1 Macro Cine DS Lens answers the challenge of assembling a set of lenses over time. The lens comes in Canon EF Mount, and it features industry standard geared focus and iris rings that share common position with other Rokinon Cine DS lenses. To aid focus pullers who have to work both sides of the lens, the aperture and focus scales are marked on both sides of the lens.

This 100mm lens produces a 24.8° angle-of-view when used with a full-frame sensor camera or a 35mm SLR. It can be used for macro videography, which means you can record an image that is the same size or bigger on the sensor as it is in real life. The 15 glass elements in 12 groups render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations, with a minimum focus distance of 1' from the lens. A removable lens hood provides flare protection when shooting without a matte box, and the lens's threaded front accepts 67mm filter rings.

Ultra Multi Coated lenses minimize flare and ghosting, and the lenses are color matched to a standard eliminating the need to acquire an entire set of lenses at the same time.
Industry-standard gearing for focus and aperture rings. Each lens in the Rokinon DS series shares common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be re-positioned.
Declicked aperture ring for smooth iris pulls.
A removable lens hood provides flare protection without a matte box.
The lens opens up to T3.1, creating extremely shallow depth of field.

100mm T3.1 Macro Cine DS Lens for Canon EF Mount is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect lenses for me I just purchased this and the 50mm DS for a short film to use with my BMCC. Perfect combination for a sharp, yet textured film look. As soon as I tested this lens I bought the set from 24 to 135mm. My focus puller loved the focus throw because dslr lenses have minute distances for focus shifts and the real (i.e expensive) cine lenses pull way too far, especially on the near-focus end, for an indie set-up. Some here say these lenses are 'great for their price'. I say they're great lenses and because of their price I'm probably going to buy a matching set for a 2-camera feature I have coming up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY sturdy lens First impressions of this lens are very good. It is heavy and feels very very well built. The focus and aperture rings are super smooth and focus is easy to dial in. Sharpness in the center of the frame is excellent yet soften up a little at the edges of the frame. This is really no big deal as in macro photography and portraiture you are going to go for a soft, blurred background. The bokeh is creamy and good. Now I would like to get back to the build quality. Those first impressions are very accurate. This lens is VERY VERY STURDY! While on a trip with a client in Peru, we had packed our stuff up and set it outside our taxi drivers car. I took my camera out to get a picture of the risin sunlight over the distant mountains. My gear was well away from the taxi drivers car, but somehow, he still managed to back up, make an unneccessary turn while pulling out and ran over my camera bag and right over the Rokinon 100mm macro. I was shocked and only expected the worst. Upon eamination of the lens, the worst of the danage was to the lens cap, which was just a couple dings. The lens suffered NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER! It works perfectly despite being run over by a car! I can definitely say that I would recommend this lens, or any other Rokinon lens. They are all build very sturdy and you can expect that they will hold up to even being run over by a car.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost useless I thought I'd use this lens all the time but the use case almost never comes up. If what you want to do is closer to an object, the 50mm is usually what you really want. If you want to look at small things that don't really move much, this lens is nice. But the depth of field even at t11 is pretty narrow and it can be difficult to maintain a focus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Stabilizer This stabilizer performs very well. The bag it comes with is a little cheap and the foam slots are tight, but is handy to have. It is a little heavier then the Glidecam, and is a little more cheaply made, but at the price point, it definitely a good stabilizer to start out with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Macro Cine Lens I already have the Rokinon 16, 35, and 85 lenses, so adding this lens just made sense as I need to really get close up for products spots. The only thing I don't particularly like is how stiff the focus is, all my other Rokinons are like butter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rokinon 100mm Macro a great match Solid construction, heavy duty with smooth focus and aperture rings. This lens is a great match with the rest of my Cine Primes from Rokinon both in color and performance. I love the macro ability of this lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great macro! Great design, compact and sturdy, but functional. Great quality with good center focus. Amazing image quality specially for macro takes.
